- This is a flatland mountain castle which existed from the Warring States period to the Edo period, and Odawara Castle was once the stronghold of the Hojo clan. The keep and the turrets of the castle were destroyed by two major earthquakes during the Edo period. The present castle keep was rebuilt in 1960, and the interior is an exhibition space for historical materials. From the top floor you can command a view of Sagami bay, and on a sunny day you can also even see the Boso Peninsula.

- This is a castle ruins park along the Hayakawa River in Odawara City. Known for the castle ruins and for being the site of the Odawara Battle led by Toyotomi Hideyoshi. He is said to have built the stone wall to the Mt. Ishigaki Castle in one night. Mt. Ishigaki Castle was selected as one of Japan's top 100 castles in 2017. Nearby is the Ichiya Castle Yoroizuka Farm French restaurant, whose chef is Toshihiko Yoroizuka.

お堀端通りから、城址公園・小田原城へ行く際にお堀を渡る朱色の橋です。 城址公園内の二の丸広場にあった城内小学校への通学橋として利用されたことから、この名前が付けられたそうです。 見映えが良く写真スポットになる所です。

Kanagawa Areas
Kanagawa prefecture acts as an extension of the Tokyo metropolis that spills over into coastal towns, most notably Yokohama city, heavily populated and known for its Chinatown and seaside attractions. Just the right distance for a day trip out of Tokyo, Kanagawa is home to some of Tokyo’s most accessible beaches, including around Kamakura, best known for its Big Buddha. Visitors can also travel a little farther afield for a weekend at Hakone onsen town.
