This sightseeing boat plies the sea around Misaki and Jogashima Island in Miura. Misakiguchi Station on the Keihin Kyuko Line is nearby where the boat docks at Urari Marche where you can enjoy fish and the sea. The bottom of the boat is submerged deep enough to make it feel like you're taking a walk in the ocean. The boat has a capacity of 60 people and during the 40-minute cruise you can watch fish swimming in their natural habitat from an observation room that resembles a space craft. The ocean comes alive with fish once you arrive at a certain point during the tour. From the deck you can also see Jogashima Ohashi Bridge, and Hanagure pier where large tuna ships dock. There are about 8 departures a day. Discount plans are available for shopping at Urari Marche.

    初めて乗船しました。カモメと鳶にかっぱえびせん1袋50円を購入し餌やりをやってみたり、撒き餌やってみたりなかなか楽しかったです。

Kanagawa Areas

around-area-map

Kanagawa prefecture acts as an extension of the Tokyo metropolis that spills over into coastal towns, most notably Yokohama city, heavily populated and known for its Chinatown and seaside attractions. Just the right distance for a day trip out of Tokyo, Kanagawa is home to some of Tokyo’s most accessible beaches, including around Kamakura, best known for its Big Buddha. Visitors can also travel a little farther afield for a weekend at Hakone onsen town.
