    This is the morning market that opens in front of the Kawasaki fish market. The market operates every Sunday from 5 a.m. to 9 a.m.in the morning. Around 30 different sellers set up shop. The market primarily offers tuna, but seasonal seafood, sea products, and other fresh vegetables, flowers, bread, pickles, beans, and even boxed lunches are for sale. The market throngs with locals and tourist every week, and at times, other entertaining events are sponsored also.

    Koshigoe Fishing Harbor is located a five-minute walk from Enoshima Electric Railway Koshigoe Station. The Koshigoe Fishery Cooperative Association office stands at the entrance to the harbor, and here from 13:00 onward you can buy deep fried seafood made with fish caught that very morning. The fish caught will vary depending on the season, but all varieties offered are fresh and delicious. A morning market is also periodically held at the site where visitors can purchase the freshest seafood at reasonable prices.

The shop processes whitebait fresh-caught by fishermen who head out into the bay each morning. ""Shirasu"" is a general term used to describe the fry of Japanese anchovies and sardines. The shop's products include kamaage shirasu whitebait which is simply sun-dried with salt and boiled, shirasu-boshi boiled whitebait which is then sun-dried, and tatami iwashi sardine sheets. You can also enjoy exquisite fresh shirasu here offered immediately after catches come in during the fishing season from March to December."

Kanagawa prefecture acts as an extension of the Tokyo metropolis that spills over into coastal towns, most notably Yokohama city, heavily populated and known for its Chinatown and seaside attractions. Just the right distance for a day trip out of Tokyo, Kanagawa is home to some of Tokyo’s most accessible beaches, including around Kamakura, best known for its Big Buddha.
