Tokyo Chiyoda-ku Sotokanda 3-15-5 GEE! STORE Akiba 1F
A shop dedicated to gachapon (vending machine capsule toys) located a five-minute walk from Akihabara Station’s Electric Town Exit in Akihabara, the mecca of otaku (nerd) culture. The shop carries gachapon covering a variety of genres, including anime and video game characters, food-themed toys, and humorous gachapon. The shop is filled with some 400 gachapon dispensers, and new stock is brought in each month. Occasionally, gachapon capsules will have an “atari” sticker on them which can be traded in to receive a free turn on a gachapon dispenser.

A small shop filled with only gachapon from floor to ceiling. Hard to choose which one you want to try. Worth a little visit if you are in the area.

The store was famously the first in Japan to develop and sell professional oil paints. Tokyo Areas

around-area-map

The setting of countless iconic movie scenes and the inspiration for songs, poetry, and literature worldwide, Tokyo barely requires an introduction. It’s hard for the kaleidoscopic neon lights, wacky pop culture, and some of the world’s tallest structures not to instill excitement in any first-time visitor to Tokyo, whether you’re in the very center of the hustle and bustle in Shinjuku or Shibuya or looking in from the quieter suburbs.
