This Japanese-style sweets cafe is located on Eitai-dori Avenue near Monzen-Nakacho Station in Tomioka, Koto Ward. The cafe offers Japanese sweets such as mitsumame boiled beans with agar, fruit, and syrup; and from October to May, a set which includes awa zenzai sweet azuki bean soup with millet, fukagawa-meshi rice cooked with clams, and kenchin-jiru vegetable soup. The cafe's awa zenzai is made with millet, a local specialty product from western Okayama, steamed in a wicker basket for close to half a day before mixing it with warm koshian smooth red bean paste. The granulated, sticky texture of the millet and the subtle sweetness of the dessert engenders a moment of soothing calm. The cafe's Ujikintoki shaved ice with azuki beans and other shaved ices made with natural spring water are also popular throughout the year.

A one-minute walk from Exit 1 of Monzen-Nakacho Station on the Tokyo Metro Tozai Line. This longstanding Japanese confectionary shop opened in Odenma-cho in 1850. Here you can enjoy creative Japanese confections invented by different generations of owners; despite being designed to be enjoyed by the masses, they still carry an air of elegance. Today, the shop makes a wide variety of confections, including renowned treats like the America Manju, a sweet bun which was the first Japanese confection to be baked in an oven; and curvy Ume Monaka bean jam wafer cakes. Inside, the shop is cozy and compact. Its confections, made using old-fashioned technique, make excellent gifts and souvenirs.

"A longstanding senbei rice cracker shop located a one-minute walk from Exit 1 of Monzen-Nakacho Station on the Tokyo Metro Tozai Line. From old school hard-baked senbei such as the Nihon Ichi Katai Genkotsu (""Japan's Hardest Rice Cracker"") and Shinjitsu no Shoyu Senbei (""The True Soy Sauce Senbei"") to snackable arare cracker bits, the shop's products are loved not only by locals but also fans across the country. In all, the shop offers over 100 varieties of rice snacks - in addition to standard katayaki hard rice crackers, you'll also find Okaki Macarons, a novel new, macaron-like rice cracker dessert; light and crispy arare snack bit mixes; and more. The shop's products also make great gifts and souvenirs. The popular shop has also been featured on television."

"This oden hotpot shop is located in the Suna-machi Ginza Shotengai shopping arcade a short bus ride from Nishi-ojima Station on the Toei Subway Shinjuku Line. So popular it sees an unending stream of customers, the shop sells a wide variety of oden dishes to either eat standing up on the spot or take home and enjoy later. The selection of oden, kept stewing right in front of the shop, is so abundant, you'll have trouble remember everything that's available even after coming here several times. The shop's oden was even featured on the television version of the popular comic book ""Kodoku no Gourmet"" (""Solitary Gourmet""). The shop's oden dishes are soaked through with the delicious dashi stock used to boil them, and they have a mild, delicate flavor. Those ordering takeout will receive a hearty helping of dashi along with their oden dishes, which can then be brought home to be slowly savored at your leisure."

The setting of countless iconic movie scenes and the inspiration for songs, poetry, and literature worldwide, Tokyo barely requires an introduction.
