    This coffee shop operating out of a townhouse with exposed beam construction built in 1916 has been a neighborhood fixture since 1938, nearly 70 years. The cafe was remodeled and reopened in 2009. Beyond the shop's glass ceiling, you can see the Taisho period beams and wood ceiling, and the building's pillars and exterior remain unchanged from when it was first constructed. The cafe's Showa period signboard, tables, and chairs are also all original. In this charming cafe you can experience Japan's bygone Taisho and Showa periods.

    A cafe produced by a Japanese confectionary shop founded in 1913. The cafe's signature menu item is its dorayaki red bean cakes, which have been a popular treat since its parent company was established. These dorayaki are made with select ingredients and prized Hokkaido Tokachi red bean anko paste. The cafe's special, fluffy shaved ice; shiruko read bean soup; anmitsu bean jam in syrup, dorayaki; and other Japanese confections can be ordered with toppings such as honey and cheese, giving patrons the option of enjoying these traditional sweets in a whole new way. The cafe's piping hot usagi pancake dorayaki pancakes are only available to customers who come between 9:00 a.m. and 9:10 a.m. when the batter is brought fresh from the parent shop.

    Bousingot is a small shop on Shiomi-komae intersection, near Sendagi Station. This cafe is inside a remodeled used bookshop. There are only 12 seats in this tiny space, but the shelves are still filled with old books in genres like culture, music, art and more. Of course all are available for sale! You can sit and read your purchase while enjoying a coffee for a quiet break. Truly a shop for book lovers!

    Took a walk at night for sightseeing in Sendagi area and found this lovely cafe. Coffee is good. Owner (the Barista) is very friendly. Good for someone who wants to spend quiet time.

Located in Yanaka, also known as Cat Town, they sell original maneki-neko and a variety of other feline-themed merchandise. Most of their products are made and painted by hand. A Yanakado classic, they have warmth not found in mass-produced versions. Every maneki-neko has its own facial expression, making picking one all the more fun. They also offer made-to-order versions. Painting in intricate detail, they create a model based on a picture you provide, resulting in a one-of-a-kind item. Maneki-neko of people's pets have proven super popular with cat lovers.
