- The Ueno Station takeout location of this confectionary from Kakinokizaka. The shop's showcase is lined with colorful cakes made with seasonal fruits and other tasty ingredients. The shop's tarts and puddings, served in an eggshell, are also popular. Other popular choices are the Ueno Zoo panda-themed items, sold only at this location. Choose the panda pudding topped with a cute panda face or the big, domed shortcake modeled after the head of a panda.

- This take-out shop is the Ueno Station branch of the Shiretoko, Hokkaido shop siretoko factory. Their signature item is their baked donut, made with loads of honey straight from Hokkaido right in the batter. There's even a cute little Kumagoron bear face stuck right in the donut hole, so it's as fun to see as to eat! The Ueno Station shop also has limited edition panda versions to commemorate Ueno Zoo's pandas!

- A cozy, home-style cafe located in the Ameya-Yokocho shopping arcade in Ueno a six minute walk from the Shinobazu exit of Ueno Station. Particularly recommended is the Butter Blend Coffee, created by Mr. Teraguchi, blender for a long-standing coffee shop in Kobe. Created by soaking fresh-roasted coffee beans in butter, this unique coffee blend becomes even smoother and more full-bodied when cream is added and is extremely easy to drink. The cafe's original sweets are handmade and designed to go great with coffee. The matcha kase kuchen cake is created by adding matcha green tea powder to natural yeast and baking it together with several varieties of cheese. It's served with Hokkaido adzuki sweet red beans, cream, and white chocolate.

上野のマルイの地下１階、飲食店が並んでいるエリアにあります。国産小麦やてんさい糖を使っているというお店のチラシに惹かれて購入しました。テイクアウトで利用しましたので、その場でいただくよりかは味が落ちていたかもしれませんが、それでも生地が美味しくて、家族にも好評でした。バター＆てんさい糖のシンプルなクレープは￥２５０！
