    Tokyo Chiyoda-ku Marunouchi 1-9-1 Tokyo Station No.1 street B1
This is a concentration of restaurants specializing in ramen located on First Avenue Tokyo Station, just after heading out from JR Tokyo Station’s Yaesu Underground Central Exit. Tokyo Ramen Street opened in 2009 with four shops including the famous Osaki (in Tokyo) tsukemen shop Rokurinsha that consistently attracts long lines. After that, it welcomed new shops from Tokyo’s famous restaurants, and is growing as an established gourmet spot where one can try various kinds of ramen. Businessmen as well as Japanese tourists and people on business trips visit as well.

While all delicious (but any ramen in Japan is delicious), this area is definitely much smaller than I expected. In reality it is only a small handful of ramen restaurants in one area, I am more...

Tokyo Chiyoda-ku Marunouchi 1-9-1 Tokyo Station No.1 Street Tokyo Underground Northern Tokyo Ramen Street
A hot and rising star in the world of tsukemen (noodles accompanied by a broth for dipping) and is located adjacent to Tokyo Ramen Street just past Tokyo Station’s Yaesu Exit. Rokurinsha established the now-popular style of ultra-thick noodles served with an ultra-thick dipping soup, and is one of the most lined-up for restaurants in Japan. The meat-based dipping soup also incorporates seafood flavors to create a delicious broth you will want to enjoy down to the last drop. Once your noodles are finished, you can request that additional broth be added to the thick dipping soup, watering it down just enough to turn it into an excellent standalone soup.

Ate here twice for lunch and waited about 45 min each time. When you get close, the line attendant will invite you to order through a ticket machine (had English on the buttons). The service fast...

  • Tokyo Station Ikaruga
    Gourmet / Alcohol
Tokyo Chiyoda-ku Marunouchi 1-9-1 Tokyo Station No.1 Street Underground 1F Tokyo Ramen Street
A ramen restaurant in Tokyo Ramen Street, part of the underground South Street area of the First Avenue Tokyo Station mall. Ikaruga's first location beyond the original in Kudan, the restaurant can be identified by its round paper lanterns inscribed with Ikaruga in Japanese on them. The clean restaurant, decorated in Japanese modern style, seats 24 customers at a time total including its two tables. Like many ramen restaurants, you order by using a vending machine out front to purchase a meal ticket that you hand to one of the counter staff; in addition to Ikaruga's signature ramen, you can also choose from among a selection of toppings and side dishes. Ikaruga's popular ramen uses a light, foul odor-free shoyu (soy sauce) broth made with pork bones and seafood that goes well with the restaurant's straight, medium thick noodles.

A fruit parlor where you can enjoy seasonal fruits at reasonable prices. The most popular items on the menu are the fruit parfaits, in which the fruit truly takes center stage. In addition to seasonal fruit sherbets and ice creams, there are fruit plates literally overflowing with 10 different varieties of fruits. Open at 7:30 a.m., it's a convenient place to start your day off fresh with fruit in the morning. The various cakes and fruit assortments filling the display cases at the front are also available for takeout. The parlor's savory food menu is also popular, and the seafood paella, only available here at the Tokyo location, is so tasty many customers come back to enjoy it again and again.

"This buffet restaurant is located on the 17th floor of the main building of the Imperial Hotel Tokyo located close to exit A13 of Hibiya Station on various subway lines. The hotel is the birthplace of Japan's ""Viking""-style all-you-can-eat buffets, and here customers can enjoy fresh-baked, flavorful pie dishes and dazzling roasted dishes prepared right in front of your eyes by experienced chefs. Particularly recommended are the modern recreations of classic recipes offered during the Tokyo Olympics in 1964; the exact selection of these dishes on offer is changed each season. From the restaurant, customers can get a view of lush Hibiya Park during the day and the glittering Tokyo nightscape in the evening."

The setting of countless iconic movie scenes and the inspiration for songs, poetry, and literature worldwide, Tokyo barely requires an introduction. It’s hard for the kaleidoscopic neon lights, wacky pop culture, and some of the world’s tallest structures not to instill excitement in any first-time visitor to Tokyo, whether you’re in the very center of the hustle and bustle in Shinjuku or Shibuya or looking in from the quieter suburbs.
