    江戸川の河川敷にある、手入れの行き届いた菖蒲園です。今年はコロナウィルスのために、イベントなどはありません。ベンチと自動販売機はありますが、あまり日差しを避けるものはありません。京成線の江戸川駅から近いです。私は市川から、自転車でゆきました。駐車場と駐輪場はあります。

    A mountain located in Akiruno City a 30 minute drive from the Akiruno Interchange renowned for its bigleaf hydrangeas. There's a hiking course a 40 minute walk from JR Musashi-Itsukaichi Station in the city of Itsukaichi that is visited by around 10 thousand people during the blooming season from mid-June to early July. The mountain is private property. Some 10 thousand bigleaf hydrangeas, diligently cultivated by the mountain's owner, cover its steep slopes. The silence of the forest and the magnificent blossoms of the hydrangeas create a magical panorama that soothes visitors to the mountain. A climbing fee used for mountain maintenance and upkeep is required to visit.

    This place is famous for its hydrangea blooming... somehow. Not much to see there, and same for the immediate neighborhood too. If you want to see the flowers, there are much nicer places to go...

    江戸川橋駅から徒歩10分弱。 元は第52代総理大臣・鳩山一郎の邸宅。入館料600円。1924年築の洋館で鉄筋コンクリート造2階建。薫記念室(薫は一郎の妻)以外は全て洋間となっている。設計は鳩山一郎の旧友である建築家・岡田信一郎。遺品などが展示してある記念室以外は撮影可能。庭から建物を見るとヨーロッパの景色のようである。 ちなみに現在の館長はあの鳩山由紀夫。

    こちらはJR中央線飯田橋駅付近から四ツ谷駅南側までの約2kmにわたって濠（江戸城外堀としては往時の姿をそのままに残す国指定の史跡である。 ）に沿って細長く続く公園で、高い位置から外堀通り、JR戦を見下ろす事ができ、桜が綺麗でした。 散歩には市ヶ谷方面から飯田橋方面に行くと下り坂となっており楽です。

    Tokyo Machida-shi Miwamachi 1739

    色々な季節に行きますが、いつ訪ねても境内の花や緑、水の音まで美しく調和しています。誰にでもお薦めしたいお寺です。今回いったときには、シャクナゲがたくさん咲き、水車の回る池の中にも花が咲き、境内で聞こえるのは水車の回る音だけ…という贅沢な時間をしばらく過ごさせていただきました。

    伺うのが少し早かった様で、まだ蕾が多かったです。 芍薬に至っては、一株しか花をつけておらず・・・、残念でした。 園内の藤の花は満開で、そちらは見事でした。 平日にも拘わらず、園内は賑わっていました。今回は牡丹も咲いているものが少なかったので、入園料の520円が高く感じられました。
