    A general gymnasium built as one of the projects commemorating the 30th anniversary of the municipality of Machida. A 10-minute walk from the north exit of Naruse Station, the facility is fully equipped with an arena, a small gymnasium, a martial arts hall, and both Japanese and Western archery ranges. The roughly 2,400 square meter main area is large enough to host national badminton, volleyball, and basketball competitions. There is a jogging track around the middle bleachers of the second floor. Apart from use by groups, the facilities are available for individuals depending on the time and the schedule of various lessons and programs.

    About 10 minutes by car from Fuchinobe Station. A community workshop with a variety of functions on Sakura-dori Avenue with its many cherry trees. They produce a variety of items like beanbags, netsuke ties, tesuki washi paper, and pot-pourii. Since Machida has long been known for its lotus flowers, they also have lots of items that are only available there like chiffon and other cakes made with lotus seeds, coasters made with fiber from the stems, and more. They also offer an array of short courses with seasonal dyes including safflower dyeing and kataku lotus flower receptacle dyeing.

    高さ88.3m、17階建ての複合文化施設で、最上階には無料の展望ロビーがある。 営業時間は22:00までとなっており、 訪れた時はギリギリだったものの見学させて頂くことができ、とても有り難かった。 新幹線が見えることで有名らしいが、夜だった為見ることは出来なかった。 周りには高層ビルが殆ど無いため、遠くまで見渡すことが出来る。 各階にはホールや会議室等があるそうで、便利そうである。

    学校の一角にめぐろ歴史資料館なるものが無料で公開されていた。それほど大きなスペースではないが、目黒の歴史がそれぞれの時代できちんと展示されていて、勉強になる。係員はおらず、勝手に見学することになる。せっかくの展示館なので、もっとPRしたほうがいいかと感じた。

    美術館内の休憩所という感じですが、あまり本格的には取り組んでいない感じです。時間も13時から16時までという短時間のオープンなので、だれのためのラウンジかなと思ってしまいます。この目黒美術館自体の企画展はなかなかのものが多いだけに、残念な感じです。
