    This is a large bookstore located five minutes on foot from JR Ikebukuro Station East Exit, and the sales floor is from the basement to the ninth floor. Inside the shop, you can search for your desired book with the help of a search machine, or you can use the desks and chairs provided to choose your books carefully. There is also a café on the fourth floor.

    A huge bookstore located a one-minute walk from Jimbocho Station. The flagship shop of the venerable Shosen bookstore chain, which was founded in 1948, the store sees an unending stream of visitors seeking to purchase highly specialized books from among Shosen Grande's massive selection. The sixth floor, for example, is stocked only with materials relaxing to railroads, and the selection of not only books but also merchandize and railroad accessories has made it a mecca for train aficionados. The seventh floor event space is frequently used to host events for young up-and-coming entertainers. Every floor offers something different, making Shosen Grande a fun place just to come and look.

In November 2015, the former Store A and Store B changed places, so the current Store A is in the building where Store B was formerly located.

In the back of the shop is an editing space for the publishing company. Patrons can watch the publication process at work through glass windows. Open until midnight on weekdays, the shop is the perfect place to casually stop by on the way home from work.

In the space specializing in books of cats, there are 400 types and 2000 books of cats displayed at all times. It is possible to look through the books in the store. Many visitors come from far away as the media have introduced the place as a sacred site for cat lovers. Although he is not in the store, a brown striped cat called Rikuo serves as the store manager.

    This is the only bookstore in Japan dedicated to travel. This bookstore was created to allow people to experience travel through books, and to stir up one's imagination for traveling. Conceptually envisioned around the word, travel, it houses a large variety of periodicals and books of multiple genres that relate to travel. It also carries rare old books and merchandise only sold here. The bookshelves are arranged by genre, so that both new books and old books are mixed together, and books by the same author are arranged together, which makes it easy to find books on the subject of your interest. They also sell a variety goods with that inspires that travel.

    JR西荻窪駅北口から徒歩5分程度、有名な喫茶店物豆奇の近くにある。 旅に専科した書店で雰囲気が良く、ゆっくり本選びできる。 一般書店では取扱いのない個人出版の書籍まで取り揃えているので、マニアックな旅の情報がゲットできる。 バックパッカーにお勧め。

    This rare and antique bookstore is located in the Kanda Jimbocho Bookstore Area, a mecca for old, used, and antique books unlike almost any other place else in the world. The store has dark brown wood floors and similarly-colored tables, and is lit by incandescent lamps which give it a gentle, soothing atmosphere. The store has been in business since the Taisho period and is divided into two floors, each of which has its own collection of books and facilities. The first floor is designed to be a veritable forest of books and here you'll find publications spanning such diverse genres as art photo collections, illustrated books, and art critiques, as well as design, architecture, photo, and performing arts books. The second floor has a book gallery where you can also see works of art by a variety of artists and casually browse paintings and woodblock and art prints. The store also irregularly holds special exhibitions and events.
