This is a theater that conducts performance of rakugo (Japanese comedic storytelling) year-round. In addition to rakugo, there are also programs that include manzai (two-person comedy acts), skits and imitations. After opening in 1964, it gained popularity as a hall for comedy and famous artists such as Kinichi Hagimoto, “Beat” Takeshi and Kiyoshi Atsumi often performed there. Although there is a daytime part and a night-time part, there is no restriction on choosing one or the other so visitors can watch for the entire day. There is also a shop that sells bento lunch boxes, drinks and other merchandise. Tickets are only available for purchase on the day of the show.

This art museum first opened its doors in 1988 inside Tokyo Station, itself erected in 1914, and has been popular ever since. The museum closed in accordance with the remodeling of the station and opened once again in October 2012. こちらは、五反田駅より若干の坂道を歩くと約10分くらいのところにあります。ビルは古く、ショップ・レストラン・企業などがたくさん入っている複合施設の様です。土曜日のお昼時でしたが、お客はけっこういました。

It is famous for its unusual Japanese-style trick art, which can be seen in such areas as the Edo Area and the Haunted Mansion with Funny Japanese Monsters. Instead of just merely watching, guests can also take pictures as if they were characters appearing in the strange pictures. This is a popular spot for families and groups of friends.

When we arrived we were given a presentation and explanation of how we would do to experience 3d effect. We had a nice hour with lots of laughs. And lots of fun pictures to show when we got home...
