    Western Chiba Prefectural Disaster Prevention Center is a facility for experiential learning about disasters, located near the Matsudo Police Station. Instructor-guides lead disaster experience tours, including simulations of situations such as earthquake tremors, severe wind and rainstorms, and hotel fires. Visitors receive training in the use of devices such as AED (Automated External Defibrillator) or fire extinguishers to save lives or put out fires. Simulations of No. 119 emergency calls aim to improve participants' awareness of disasters. The center has a stock of equipment and supplies that are needed during a disaster and will serve as a transport base for these items in case of a major disaster.

    This Shinto shrine is located in Shimone, Kimagase, Noda City. It honors the deity Futsunushi-no-Kami. Three mythical shishi perform the lion dance here, and they have a precious ancient manuscript called the Kenpo Hidensho. At their annual fall festival on November 23 they hold lion dancing and boken wooden sword ceremonies, which have been designated Intangible Folk Cultural Properties by the city.

    Akagi-jinja Shrine, which is connected to legends about place names in Nagareyama, is located at the top of Mt. Akagi, 15 meters above sea level. The shimenawa (sacred rope) inside the precincts is massive: 10 meters long and 1.5 meters thick, weighing about 500 kg. Each year in October the parishioners of the shrine braid a new shimenawa, and this custom has been designated a City Intangible Folk Cultural Property.

    This park is in Matsudo City in Chiba Prefecture. Inside the park the remains of the brick pillars to the main gate of the former army technical training school are preserved and deemed a Municipal Cultural Property. The park cultivates a variety of flowering plants and blossoming trees, including cherry trees. During the cherry blossom and fall seasons the park throngs with visitors. In addition to children's play structures, like monkey bars, there is a large playground which is ideal for children's activities. There are also two tennis courts, for use by anyone with prior reservations.

    This exhibition hall is located at Gokonishi6-Chome, Matsudo City. This exhibit, displays aspects of construction in three themes; infrastructure improvement, infrastructure maintenance and management, and nurturing engineers, and has a history corner. The outdoor exhibit spaces display the steps to start constructing a building, or paving a road. Actual construction vehicles, such as amphibious bulldozers, and bridge trestles, etc. can be seen upclose and touched. In another area, visitors can experience what it's like to maneuver with a wheelchair in a barrier free area or with a cane for the visually impaired (reservations required).

In 1971, the location was designated a Historic Site by Noda City. Here you can catch a glimpse of the long history behind soy sauce production, the center of industry in Noda from long ago.
