"Matsudo Museum is located inside Forest and Park for the 21st Century. The concept behind it is ""Seeing, Touching, and Feeling with Your Whole Body,"" and it contains exhibits portraying the history of Matsudo, dating back to Paleolithic times. An exhibit that recreates Matsudo's mammoth apartment block project Tokiwadaira Danchi, gives visitors a feeling for everyday life in the late 1950s and early 1960s."

"This educational facility was built on the grounds of the Kitachiba No. 2 Pumping Station on the bank of Lake Teganuma. The No. 2 Pumping Station was built to regulate the water levels of Lake Teganuma, the Tega River, and the Saka River basin; prevent floods; and improve water quality. The center utilizes informational panels to explain the roles of the facility and how it was built. From some of the center's windows, visitors can see the station's sluice gates in operation. • Kashiwa Planetarium
    Leisure / Hobbies
Chiba Kashiwa-shi Kashiwa 5-8-12 Kashiwa Municipal Library Motodate 2F
This domed planetarium is located on the second floor of the Kashiwa City Library. Planetarium shows are held on the second and fourth Saturdays of the month as well as the following Sundays, and entry is free. Show themes change monthly, and the stars and accompanying programs showed vary accordingly. The planetarium is notable for its homemade, home crafted approach. The cityscape at the base of the planetarium dome is made of paper cutouts and the movement of the projected stars is also operated manually. Program narration is provided entirely live by staff. The appeal of this is the adlib nature of the narration, which may use less complicated language when there are many children in the audience and, conversely, increase the amount of technical language when there are many knowledgeable people watching the show.

The Boso Peninsula forms the main body of Chiba prefecture, and this is where you’ll find its endless warm water beaches and jagged mountains. Further inland, Narita - most famous as the home of Narita Airport - is a secret haven of tradition and history in the form of centuries-old Shinshoji Temple and quaint wooden Edo buildings. Chiba prefecture is also home to both Tokyo Disneyland and Tokyo DisneySea.
