    Chiba Chosei-gun Ichinomiyamachi Torami 8515-2
    Located at the southernmost tip of Kujukuri Beach, this strawberry farm is open for strawberry picking from January to May, and offers 30-minute all-you-can-eat strawberry picking of hygienic and easy-to-pick strawberries. The direct sales counter sells fresh local vegetables and handmade goods, in addition to fully ripened and frozen strawberries.

    JR一宮駅からかなり距離があるので車で。美味しい完熟いちご食べ放題で大人も子供も大満足する。土曜日曜など休日はかなり込み合うので要注意。お店には地元の新鮮な野菜やお弁当なども安く売っている。お買い得はジャム用のいちごだ殆んど普通に美味しく食べられる。

    This blueberry farm is a seven-minute drive from JR Makuta Station. The farm cultivates safe to eat pesticide-free blueberries. The farm takes great pride in its robust, sweet, large berries. Visitors can enjoy time-unlimited all-you-can-eat blueberry picking which also includes blueberries you can take home. The farm has a cafe in its log house-style management building; the parfaits, smoothies, and jams made with blueberries are popular.

    A strawberry farm adjacent to Roadside Station Mizu-no-Sato Sawara along the Tone Suigo Line Road in Sawara, Katori City. They grow three types of strawberries, Akihime, Benihoppe, and Kaorino, and are open for strawberry picking from late December to May. The strawberries are grown in a two-tiered upper and lower tier system making it easy for every to pick strawberries, even children and those in wheelchairs.

    This orchard is on Prefectural Route 261 in Mukaikogane, Nagareyama City. Using enzyme cultivation and hardly any chemicals, they grow grapes, pears, three types of kiwis, and more. Visitors can pick their own fruit and dig their own potatoes in the season. They also have a farm stand selling fruit, vegetables, and flowers, as well as a barbecue area.

    Ishii Teruen is a farm that cultivates the pears that Kamagaya is famous for. From late August to early October, visitors can pick various varieties of pears, including Hosui, Nansui, Shinsei, and Shinko. In addition, visitors can pick grapes from mid August to late September. Groups that make reservations can dig for sweet potatoes. It is also possible to buy pears and grapes here.

    Choshi Electric Railway runs within the city of Choshi. It was founded in 1923 and runs from Choshi Station to Tokawa Station, with ten intermediate stations. The entire trip takes about 20 minutes. The distinguishing features of this railway are the views of cabbage fields and fishing communities that passengers can see from the window, the retro rolling stock, and the European-style station buildings. At Nakanocho Station, visitors can tour the railyards, and it is possible to rent an entire train for special occasions.

    This agricultural park conducts approximately 70 kinds of harvesting experiences throughout the year, including cultivated sweet potatoes, peanuts and soybeans, and non-pesticide vegetables, fruits and herbs. In the garden and indoor barbecue facility, you can taste picked vegetables, and SPF pork from the Hirano Pig Farm and grilled seafood with a reservation. You can also bring your own ingredients. The salad using vegetables grown on the farm and their smoothies are popular menu items.

    Sugahara Glassworks Inc. is a workshop that produces painstakingly handmade glass products. Visitors who make reservations can learn or experience different methods of glassmaking for themselves: marvering, in which 1200°C molten glass is spread over a flat surface with a spatula-like tool; pair marvering, in which two people work together; and blowing, in which the glassmaker blows into a pipe to expand the molten glass. (There is a limit to the number of participants in each course, so reservation is required.) Sugahara Glassworks also has an onsite shop, where nearly all its products are for sale, and a cafe, where visitors can enjoy sweets that are made onsite and served in glassware.

From mid-April to mid-May you can try collecting your own bamboo shoots.

    Western Chiba Prefectural Disaster Prevention Center is a facility for experiential learning about disasters, located near the Matsudo Police Station. Instructor-guides lead disaster experience tours, including simulations of situations such as earthquake tremors, severe wind and rainstorms, and hotel fires. Visitors receive training in the use of devices such as AED (Automated External Defibrillator) or fire extinguishers to save lives or put out fires. Simulations of No. 119 emergency calls aim to improve participants' awareness of disasters. The center has a stock of equipment and supplies that are needed during a disaster and will serve as a transport base for these items in case of a major disaster.

    Located in Chidori, Urayasu City, this non-public heliport facility overlooks Tokyo Bay. It is the only heliport in the Tokyo metropolitan area authorized to operate 24 hours a day, and is used for a wide range of purposes including filming and events. It also offers private helicopter cruising courses, including a course that allows passengers to view the scenery of central Tokyo from approximately 600 meters above the ground, and is popular with couples and families.

    This hands-on learning facility provides information on forestry and the opportunity to spend time in the woods getting close to nature. It's near the site of Kururi Castle heading south on National Route 410 from JR Kururi Station. You can join woodworking programs with dedicated machinery in their practical training room. The lobby has an exhibit with traditional toothpicks and armor worn during the Kururi Castle Festival. Their eatery serves chiffon cake and dishes made with wild game. Walk down the promenade to the arbor and take in the seasons with rhododendrons in spring and colorful foliage in fall.

  • Tateyama Underwater Sightseeing Boat

    Unlike a conventional glass-bottom boat, the tour ship is equipped with an air-conditioned viewing room situated below the waterline, giving riders the chance to enjoy a three dimensional tour of the ocean floor.
