    "The Ichikawa Zoological and Botanical Garden houses lesser pandas, orangutans, monkeys, various small animals, and birds. The theme of the zoo is ""Encounters with Animals,"" and in the petting zoo area, visitors can touch marmots. Also on the grounds are a nature garden, a rose garden, and an ornamental botanical garden, all with free admission. A miniature railroad has also been installed in the zoo."

    北総鉄道の大町駅が最寄り駅。駐車場は500円で大人の入場料は440円。規模は小さいがオランウータンやレッサーパンダもいて楽しめる。周囲は梨園が多くて環境は良い。子供連れの場合、歩く距離が少なく園内に遊具もあるから引率者は、それほど疲れない。

    The expansive Chiba Zoological Park opened in 1985, and has a variety of courses to enjoy, including a petting zoo where you can feed animals or ride a pony. There are barbecue pits and a restaurant so you can spend a full day here. A portion of sales from the popular Lesser Panda Ramen, available at zoo restaurant, goes to support the zoo, as well.

    "Ichihara Elephant Kingdomhas 10 elephants, more than anywhere else in Japan, and 100 other kinds of animals live there, too, including camels and hippos. After a show in which the elements ""play soccer"" and ""dance,"" visitors can have their pictures taken while riding an elephant. Visitors who make reservations can ride free shuttle buses from Takataki Station on the Kominato Railway or from the Ichihara-Tsurumai Bus Terminal."
