- This popular cherry blossom viewing spot is on the Arakawa River in Kumagaya City. It covers about two kilometers of cherry trees along the levees downstream from Arakawa Bridge. It's been a popular spot since the Edo Period, and it has been chosen as one of Japan's Top 100 Cherry Blossom Viewing Sites. A cherry blossom festival is held in season, and they illuminate the trees in the evening. The Sakura Marathon takes place there in late March, and in the summer, it's the venue for the Kumagaya Fireworks.

- "The general name for the flood plain following the Arakawa River in Yorii Town, Osato County. In addition to camping and barbecuing, the area is a popular destination for fishing, canoeing, and other outdoor activities. Also a renowned bird watching spot, visitors can catch sight of the common kingfisher, known as the ""kawasemi"" in Japanese and the bird from which the floodplain takes its name."

- An area on the Arakawa River side near the Cosmos Arena Fukiage. Covering the spacious area is the largest cosmos flower field in the greater Tokyo area with nearly 10 million flowers. In the distance you can also look out at the magnificent scenery of Mt. Fuji and the Chichibu Mountain Range. The best time to catch the flowers in bloom is usually mid to late October and during the blooming season they hold with Cosmos Festival with special events and limited local products available for purchase.

新聞の記事を見て樹齢650年の藤をひと目見ようと埼玉県本庄市の長泉寺に行ってきました。5月10日に行ったのですが、盛りを過ぎた藤の花もあり、あと一週間前に来ればよかったなと思いました。入場料は大人一人500円です。駐車場は舗装されていませんがありました。

有名なしだれの古木は境内の奥にあります。 桜が散りかけていて葉桜になっていましたが、 それよりも驚いたのは、折れそうなくらい痛んでいたこと。 木の皮一枚でつながっているのかと思えるほどでした。 境内には他にも樹木があります。 それぞれ木の名前が記されていて、手入れが行き届いています。 いろいろ楽しめます。 この日は門前の枝垂が満開でした。
