    Saitama Pref. Chichibugunnagatoromachi Nagatoro 1766-1
    Built on 497 meter tall Mt. Hodo, the Hodosan Ropeway connects the 832 meters between Sanroku Station at the foot and Sancho Station at the summit. During the five minute ride, you can enjoy the beautiful scenery of Nagatoro from the air. Starting with kanzakura cold weather cherries which reach peak bloom in late November, you can enjoy spectacular flowering plants here through to mid-June, including Japanese allspice, Japanese apricot, pheasant’s eye, cherry trees, azaleas, and rhododendrons. In autumn, the fall foliage is stunning.

    子供が宝登山小動物園を楽しみにしていたので、ロープウェイに乗りました。 とにかく眺めが良く、子供は大喜びです^_^ 乗車時間は5分ほどでしたが、秩父の自然を堪能できます。 山頂駅から眺める長瀞の街並みは絶景でした！

    A wintersweet garden located on top of Mt. Hodo, a 497-meter-tall mountain in Nagatoro, Nagatoro Town, Chichibu County. Divided into east and west gardens, some 3,000 wintersweet plants spanning three varieties (soshin-robai, wa-robai and mangetsu-robai) are grown here. Visitors can enjoy the mountaintop view as well as the sight of the plants' flowers when they bloom from late December to late February.
