A popular Nagatoro souvenir, these buns often sell out fast."

    A senbei rice cracker shop located close to Nagatoro Station in Nagatoro, Nagatoro Town, Chichibu County. The shop sells senbei crackers broiled one at a time by the hands of a skilled master. The shop offers some 80 different varieties, including twice covered in soy sauce, moist nure senbei, and flavors like yuzu kosho and natto miso. The shop also sells other confections, Japanese pickles, and folk crafts and other souvenirs.

    ハート型のとてもかわいいお煎餅を買いました。焼きたてで温かくて美味しかったです。醤油の香ばしさも最高でした。

In addition to ama-natto made by hand over a three-day period with no additives, the shop also sells cooked beans; bok choy and other vegetable pickles; and ""Sanjurokucha,"" a tea blending 36 ingredients grown without pesticides."

It's filled with western and Japanese sweets made in the attached workshop, including the namesake Kurisuke sweets made with an entire chestnut. Their Snowball made with maple syrup harvested from the mountains of Chichibu, are popular souvenirs.

    Founded in 1875, Mitoya is a long-established Japanese sweets store in Chichibu. The store is reputed for having kept the pure taste of its confections so typical of Chichibu since it was first founded. Their Chichibu mochi which contains slightly crushed sweetened red-bean paste with a delicate sweetness is a particularly fine sweet. Other popular Japanese sweets such as sesame manju cake and shichifuku are also available. In 2007 Mitoya opened a Western-style cake shop which sells cakes such as Swiss roll and Mont Blanc.

    This yokan (red bean jelly) shop is located along National Route 209 in Ogano, Ogano Town, Chichibu County. Their leading product is their “Kodai Chichibu neri yokan.” Ever since the second-generation shop owner produced the recipe for it in Nihonbashi in 1803, they have continued to preserve its unchanged flavor for over 200 years. They sell three kinds: “honneri (kidney bean paste),” “inaka (adzuki bean paste) ” and “yuzu citrus (kidney bean paste).”

    This yokan (red bean jelly) shop is located across from Chichibu City Hall in Kumagi-machi, Chichibu City. Their star product is the “Kodai Chichibu Neri Yokan.” The recipe for it was passed down to their 2nd generation shopkeeper in Nihonbashi in 1803, so the taste and formula have been protected for more than 200 years. It is sold in three different varieties: honneri (kidney bean paste), inaka (azuki bean paste) and yuzu citrus (kidney bean paste)”.

    This Japanese and Western confectionery store is located on Banba-dori Street in Banba-machi, Chichibu City. Based on the concept “Cherish the natural features of Chichibu,” they make sweets that incorporates local produce. They sell the “colorful potato series” which is made of Japanese-style sweet potato with Sayama tea and maple syrup from Chichibu, and “Molt cake” which is a castella using egg yolks and “Ichiro’s Molt”, a whiskey distilled in Chichibu.

    シャインマスカットの大福がありました。 季節ごとに違うものがある様で 今の時期だけだそうです。 白あんにシャインマスカットがよく合いました。 家に持ち帰り食べたのですが、形が崩れる事もなく美味しいく、頂けました。 西武秩父駅にも売ってました。

    ２０１９．１１．１４埼玉県民の日にぶらり旅して草もちを６個入り６００円で購入しました、５時間後に自宅で食べましたが軟らかくて粒あんも甘さがちょうど良く美味しかったです、７０歳以上のお母さんが店番しており愛想の良い方でした。

    小鹿野こいし130円、レモンケーキ170円 小鹿野こいしは山芋を練りこんだソフトクッキーで、マーガリンが挟んでありました。レモンケーキの方が爽やかでしたが、どちらもちょっと喉に詰まる感じでした。
