    A confectionary factory situated along National Route 16 in Shinsayama, Sayama City. Built as a candy factory in 1969, today the factory produces 120 varieties of confections. Free tours are provided on weekdays (advance reservation required), and visitors can learn how confections are made through videos and informational panels as well as a tour of the production lines and a tasting of fresh-made products.

    This handmade Japanese washi paper maker and shop was established in 1913 in the Japanese papermaking area of Ogawa Town, Saitama Prefecture. Since it first opened, it has made a wide array of paper products, from traditional washi papers to papers created using techniques suited to the times. Its studio was built 100 years ago, and visitors can view it and see one of Japan's old-fashioned workshops adjoining the craftsman's home. The shop, situated on National Route 254, carries a wide selection of papers used for all manner of creative activities, as well as the company's own products made with washi; there's also a sales space for products created by other crafters and designers. The gallery on the second floor displays items made with washi paper and may be freely viewed.
