    The Koma-jinja Shrine enshrines Komano Jakko, a settler from Kokuri that was a flourishing northern region of the Korean Peninsula. The shrine celebrated its 1300th year since Koma County was established in 2016. The shrine’s cultural artifacts are exhibited with a chosen theme every year in September in the Koma-jinja meeting hall main room.

    A group of cave graves located in Kitayoshimi, Yoshimi Town, Hiki County. Consisting of 219 caves created some 1,400 years ago during the late Kofun period, this site is the largest of its kind in Japan and has been designated a National Historic Site. A series of tunnels used as an underground military factory during World War II can also be found at the site; in addition, the area is a rare habitat in the Kanto region for luminous moss, a designated National Natural Monument.

    吉見町にある遺跡です。多数の穴が並んていて、なかなか面白い場所です。 戦時中は防空壕的に使われていたということで、そういう展示もあります。 シンプルな観光地ですがなかなか良いです。

The station has a farm fresh shop selling seasonal agricultural products such as fresh vegetables from local farms and strawberries, a Yoshimi specialty product; a yakitori chicken skewer restaurant which also offers skewers made with cheek and temple pork meat, a local delicacy; a ramen restaurant; and a soft serve ice cream shop. There's also a local specialty products shop selling strawberry jams and sweets, a restaurant offering udon noodles made with local flour, and a classroom where you can learn how to make handmade udon noodles (advance reservation required).

The station is also adjoined by the Saitama Craft Center, a facility which sells, displays, demonstrates, and offers classes on traditional crafts such as handmade Japanese washi paper; and Men Kobo Katakuri, a restaurant which serves udon noodles made with local flour.

    "A Shinto shrine located in 2-Chome Yakyu-cho, Higashimatsuyama City. Dedicated to Ukemochi-no-Kami, the shrine was founded in 712, although its name was written with different characters. After the samurai Minamoto no Yorinobu prayed for success here when tracking down the rebel Taira no Tadatsune and achieved victory in his quest, he donated a new main shrine building, and the shrine was renamed with characters pronounced the same but meaning ""arrow and bow."" The Danjuro Inari, a subordinate shrine built by kabuki actor Ichikawa Danjuro VII, stands on the shrine's grounds, and parishioners come to this shrine to pray for success and protection in the field of the performing arts."

    This temple is located just a 15 minute drive from the Sayama-Hidaka Interchange on the Ken-O Expressway. It is said that this temple was formed when the military commander of Hanno, Nakayama Iekatsu invited the distinguished priest, Kamaya Fumitatsu and established a small hut, and then the son of Iekatsu, Ienori, built the temple in order to pray for his father's peaceful repose. To the north of the main sanctum lies the Ikeizumi contemplative type Horai Garden selected as one of Japan's top 100 gardens, and is designated as a Municipal Cultural Property. Many flowers bloom in the garden in every season, but the fall foliage is the most recommended. Every Sunday from 9 a.m. to 12 noon zazen meditation sessions are held.

There's also a children's science museum area where kids can deepen their understanding of science through experiments and other hands-on exhibits.

    This temple is located in Minami, Hanno City. Founded by Neno-Hijiri in 911, it was later established as Neno-Hijiri Daigongen Shrine to deify Neno-Hijiri. It has long attracted visitors who believe in its power to preserve one’s mobility, and on the ground there is a two-ton pair of imitation straw sandals made of steel. It is the 32nd temple of the Musashino 33 Kannon Pilgrimage.

    This temple is located in Takayama, Hanno City. Founded in 654, it is a famous temple known, along with Narita Fudo and Takahata Fudo, as one of the three great shrines to the guardian deity Fudo in the Kanto region. The wooden statue of the Gundari-myoou, created in the Heian period, is designated as a National Important Cultural Property, and the 800-year-old “Childcare Ginkgo” tree on the grounds is designated as a Prefectural Natural Monument.

    西吾野駅から、関八州見晴台経由で来訪。西武鉄道のハイキングコースを参考にしました。感想としては、登山シューズやウェアなど、登山用の装備に助けられました。 それなりに体力は必要ですが、眺めも良く、行くまでも行ってからも楽しめますよ!

    Sayama Berry Land is a tourist farm located on Prefectural Route 8 in Horigane, Sayama City. The farm’s greenhouses are open for visitors to enjoy pick-your-own strawberry activities from mid-December through into late May, followed by pick-your-own blueberries from June to late August, and pick-your-own mushrooms from mid-September onwards. The farm shop sells jam, fruit juice, and fresh fruit, including freshly-picked or frozen blueberries, etc. Soft-serve ice cream is available in the summer months, along with a range of original processed food products.

    This museum is located along Chuokoen-dori Street in Hanno, Hanno City. As well as exhibitions showcasing the history and culture of Hanno since prehistoric times with the four themes of “Village,” “Town,” “Mountain” and “Hanno, Past and Present,” there are also permanent exhibitions about the local specialty timber Nishikawa Wood and the nature of the surrounding region. Special exhibitions and nature watching events are also held.

    入館料無料の博物館で、駐車場も無料です。館内には、「歴史展示室」「特別展示室」「身近な自然のコーナー」「飯能と西川材のコーナー」がありました。「歴史展示室」の奥では「飯能と渋沢栄一のパネル展」が、「特別展示室」では「ヒロシマ・ナガサキ原爆展」が開催されていました。展示内容全体のイメージは、博物館というより郷土館といった感じでした。テラスから見渡せる飯能河原の景色がよかったです。

The museum was established to permanently exhibit the Hiroshima Panels, an art series created collaboratively between husband and wife painters Iri and Toshi Maruki. Of the 15 panels, the museum possesses panels one through 14 (panel 15, ""Nagasaki,"" is in the collection of the Nagasaki Atomic Bomb Museum). The museum's permanent exhibition also includes other collaborative works created by the husband and wife team on themes like pollution and atrocities. In addition, the museum holds special exhibitions. (The museum can also be rented out as an art space.)"

    東松山にある美術館です。交通の便が悪いので基本車での移動となります。有名な原爆の絵など様々な戦争の悲惨さを感じさせる美術品が展示されています。是非訪れてほしい場所です。

    This temple is in Hanno City, Saitama Prefecture. Boasting of about 30 hectares of land, it was chosen one of Saitama's Top 100 Sightseeing Spots. The founder, Hiranuma Yataro, spent 30 years constructing the buildings spread all over the mountain. The spirit of Xuan Zang, who wrote Saiyuki (Journey to the West), is enshrined in Xuan Zang (Japanese: Gensho Sanzo) tower. This is also a famous fall-leaf viewing spot.

    名栗湖のハイキングの帰りに見つけました。 山の頂上にそびえ立つ観音像は神々しく光っていました。また、下にある観音堂には自由に入ることができ、しばらく瞑想をするのに持って来いの場所です。

    Located along the Iruma River, this spot is about a 15-minute walk west of Hanno Station along Prefectural Route 70. The riverside has lots of green space where children can run free in the midst of nature. The river is shallow enough for even preschoolers to play in, and a wooden deck and a boardwalk along it makes it great for a stroll. Lots of visitors come to view the blossoms when the riverbed's cherry trees flower in spring. There's also a shopping area nearby where you can rent equipment to have a barbecue.

    Located a 10-minute drive from the Higashimatsuyama Interchange or the Ranzan-Ogawa Interchange off the Kan-Etsu Expressway or a 15-minute walk from the Musashiranzan Station on the Tobutojo Line, this museum is located inside the Sugayakan ruins, a nationally designated and one of the continued series of Japan's Top 100 Castles. The exhibits are centered around the introduction to the four locations of the ruins of a medieval castle and a robot impersonating the Kamakura era samurai lord of the castle, Hatakeyama Shigetada, who tells a story of his own history. Various other exhibits are hosted annually along with special tours and history classes offered at specific times.

    A park shaped like a kinchaku (traditional purse/pouch) located on level ground and surrounded by the Koma River in Hidaka City, Saitama Prefecture. In autumn, the park explodes with the blossoms of some 5 million red spider lilies, their scarlet carpet creating a fantastical landscape. Situated amongst a forest of trees, such a vast amount of red spider lilies is found almost nowhere else in Japan. The Aiai Bridge provided for pedestrians to cross the Koma River is the longest wooden truss bridge in Japan.

    A Buddhist temple founded in 751 located in Niihori, Hidaka City. Located on high ground in Komago, an area pioneered by settlers who traveled here from the ancient Korean kingdom of Goguryeo, the temple's principal object of worship is a state of Acala. The temple also enshrines a Buddhist statue of guardian buddha of King of Goryeo, Jako, Nandikesvara. The temple's grounds are outfitted with walking paths and scenic observatories for visitors to enjoy. In spring, a 170-year old higan cherry tree growing on the park's grounds comes into bloom along with various weeping and Yoshino cherries and other flowering trees and plants.
