    Saitama Pref. Kawagoeshi Shintomichou 1-10-1
    A shopping facility located in 1-Chome Shintomi-cho, Kawagoe City. The facility is housed in three National Tangible Cultural Property-designated storehouses built in the Meiji, Taisho, and Showa periods which once belonged to the Kagamiyama Shuzo sake brewery. Facilities include the Omiyagedokoro Meijigura storehouse, which hosts a cafe and shops selling local sakes and sweets; the Makanaidokoro Taishogura, which hosts a restaurant serving choice sake and meals designed around the concept of local production for local consumption; and the Kikizakedokoro Showagura storehouse, where visitors can purchase sake from 35 breweries located in the prefecture; plus the Tsudoidokoro building, which has a conference room and gallery.

    The souvenirs are a bit more pricier than the departmental stores but worth to buy one and try. The black crispy mochi with red wrapper is tasty. It was gone when i walked past it a two hours later.

    Inside the black painted walls of this warehouse facing Ichibangai Dori Road you'll find works by local potters on display making dynamic use of the thick pillars and beams holding up the shop. Along with their works you'll also find displays introducing you to the individual careers of the different artists. Enjoy considering the various characteristics of the artists and the overall form and texture of their works as you make a decision.

    陶舗やまわは、本川越駅から徒歩15分くらいのところ一番街にあります。長喜院の参道の入口のところにあります。川越を代表する蔵造りの建物です。1月の早朝に見つけました。川越大火直後の明治26年に建てられた2階建の重厚な建物です（写真参照）。歴史的な建物に興味がある方にお勧めのスポットです。

    さつまいもを薄く長くスライスしたチップスです。このままだと味が無いのでソースが色々選べます。一番人気の塩バターは良く合いますね。見映えもして美味しいおやつでした。

    "A bread bakery located in Kashiya Yokocho (Candy Alley) in Moto-machi, Kawagoe City. The bakery sells breads made by hand using flour from Hokkaido and natural yeast, and without the use of additives. Popular breads like the ""Premium Shokupan,"" designed to be eaten untoasted and made by fermenting the dough for 18 hours to maximize the flavor; and the ""Omiso no Pan"" bread made with glutinous rice flour and Chichibu miso added to the dough, ensure that the bakery frequently sees lines of waiting customers."

    菓子屋横丁にある人気のパン屋さんです。土日は並んでいることが多いですし、午後以降だと種類が少ないこともあります。どれも美味しかったです。店の外にちょっとしたカフェスペースも用意されており、ゆっくり過ごすことができます。

    A confectioner that first opened in 1887. Their popular Fukuzou treat has been sold for over 40 years and has sold upwards of 3.5 million units in a year. It has been certified as part of the Kawagoe Selection and as a Sai-no-Kuni Excellent Brand Product. Also popular is their Beni-Akakun rendition of the traditional Japanese Sweet Potato desert and their Kyutaro Kitsune manjuu pie dumpling.

    年始に長期で関東に滞在。 青春１８きっぷを利用していた関係で、埼玉も訪問してきました。 このときに川越にも訪問したのですが、「くらづくり本舗 久保町本店」さんで「喜多のかけ橋」を購入。 「ダックワーズ」の和風バージョンみたいな感じなのですが、軽くて持ち運びがとっても楽（笑）。 食感も良くてとても美味しかったです。

This farm- run restaurant features a menu of dishes made with local ingredients including fresh picked vegetables and Koedo Black Pork. Popular choices include their Koedo Black Pork Hamburg steak, a daily limited item made with 100% black pork, and their Mio Casalo Plate which features their home-made ham and sausage with fresh picked farm grown vegetables and German bread.

    黒豚カレーを食べましたが、ただのボンカレー。小さいサラダとスープが付いてますが税込1430円は高過ぎです。せいぜい700円くらいの価値です。観光地区で観光客が1番多い通り沿いなので、観光客相手に荒稼ぎしているようです。

    The Ichibangai location of this confectioner has a tea house which offers a popular food menu starring Imo-Okowa (sweet potato and rice). Their popular Imo-Koi manjuu bun, a mixture of sweet potato and whole red beans wrapped in a dough made with mochi rice and yams, offers a nostalgic flavor and has been chosen as one of Sai-no-Kuni's Authorized Superior Brand Goods. Their Imo-Pote cakes and Imo-Okowa make for great souvenirs.

    たまたま通りがかかって見つけました。 落ち着いていて、良い雰囲気。 食べ物にバラが乗っていて、ほっこり。 店員さんも良い感じ^ ^ おこわのランチ美味しかった♪ 写真の物は、税込1200円です。

    A long-standing confectionery shop known for their potato sweets that first opened in 1886. It was the stage for the drama “Naite Tamaruka” which aired in 1965 and starred actor Atsumi Kiyoshi. They normally have around ten different treats available including their Imoju Senbei, thinly sliced high quality sweet potato brushed with fresh ginger flavored molasses one by one and then baked, their Imoju Matsuba candied sweet potato fries, and Imoju-Tou sliced candied sweet potato. The shop has been designated as one of the Kawagoe City Landscape's Important Buildings.

They served the Kawagoe domain for generations before, in 1847, receiving the Kameya Daijo Fujiwara Kaei professional certification from the Kyoto Imperial Palace. The treats they make, inheriting the flavor and techniques passed down from the Edo period, have earned them much admiration. Their signature product Kame-no- Monaka is a beloved and elegant bite-sized wafer cake shaped like a turtle shell, and there are also seasonal limited products with the flavor of cherry blossoms and matcha green tea.
