This traditional river rafting tour is offered each year from around March 10 to early December. Customers can choose between three courses - from Oyahana Bridge to Iwadatami, from Iwadatami to Takasago Bridge, and one course traveling the full length from Oyahana Bridge to Takasago Bridge. No advance reservation is required and tours leave every five to 20 minutes. A special limited time tour is also offered in winter which has riders sit in a toasty-warm kotatsu (heated table with a blanket).

Built on 497 meter tall Mt. Hodo, the Hodosan Ropeway connects the 832 meters between Sanroku Station at the foot and Sancho Station at the summit. During the five minute ride, you can enjoy the beautiful scenery of Nagatoro from the air. Starting with kanzakura cold weather cherries which reach peak bloom in late November, you can enjoy spectacular flowering plants here through to mid-June, including Japanese allspice, Japanese apricot, pheasant’s eye, cherry trees, azaleas, and rhododendrons. In autumn, the fall foliage is stunning.

A farm located in Azeyoshi, Ageo City. The farm raises milk cows and a variety of other animals. The farm offers a course which lets visitors experience the life of a farmer, including milking cows and making butter (advance reservation required). The farm also sells gelato made with fresh milk; yogurt made with just milk, lactobacteria, and sugar; and other products. There's also a barbecue ground which allows visitors to bring their own foods for grilling.

Sayama Berry Land is a tourist farm located on Prefectural Route 8 in Horigane, Sayama City. The farm’s greenhouses are open for visitors to enjoy pick-your-own strawberry activities from mid-December through into late May, followed by pick-your-own blueberries from June to late August, and pick-your-own mushrooms from mid-September onwards. A three-minute walk from Wado-Kuroya Station on the Chichibu Line. Here you can enjoy quality strawberries carefully raised and managed using clean air, pure water, and the temperature differences between morning and night. The farm grows more than 10 varieties of strawberries, including Tochiotome and Akahoppe; the farm's original white strawberries have not yet been named. This is an interactive facility in the No. 2 Bando hill park of the Bando region of Higashi Matsuyama City, Saitama Prefecture. It is the only indoor fossil excavation activity center in the prefecture. After listening to the instructors talk, the participant is given a sifter and hammer to excavate such items as shark's teeth from a rock mass. The instructor assesses the item found, and the fossil can be taken home (excluding a few high value fossils). The exhibit area displays valuable fossils found thus far. The tourism corner has a collection of tourist information for the city and the surrounding areas as well as unique products from the fossil activity center. This is the only place where one can enjoy digging for fossils in a temperature controlled environment.

Sainokuni Fureai Farm is a tourist farm located on Prefectural Route 361 in Sakamoto, Higashichichibu Village, Chichibu County. Saitama Tokorozawa-shi Arahata 782

A natural area in Tokorozawa City covering nearly 1000 hectares has been developed to allow the people to come into contact with the local nature of the Sayama Hills and to encourage them to consider the importance of nature and its relationship with humans. There are five themed locations centered around a center area which is home to the Ikifure Flora and Fauna Interaction Center which looks at living things native to Arahata, Tokorozawa City. The different locations are connected with a nearly 13- kilometerfootpath from east to west and you can explore the area following the signposts.

A strawberry farm located in Shimotomi, Tokorozawa City. From early January to late May, visitors can enjoy an all-you-can-eat strawberry picking course which requires no advance reservation. The farm grows its strawberries on raised platforms standing one meter off the ground and incorporates universal design principles, making it easy for persons in wheelchairs and thus with strollers to enjoy strawberry picking as well. The farm also has a rest area and a shop selling strawberries and seasonal vegetables.

昔この辺に住んでいて久しぶりに行って見ると、いちご農園がありました。直売所で甘いイチゴを買いました。30分食べ放題もやっているらしいので次回は挑戦したいです。

A strawberry picking farm in Tokorozawa City, Saitama. In their three greenhouses they mainly grow the gentle low-acidity Akihime and the more strongly flavored Benihoppe varieties of strawberries. They offer a dedicated area with raised beds and wider passages to allow those in wheelchairs easy access (reservation required). This facility complex with the theme of Japanese paper is located in Mido Higashi-Chichibu Village, Chichibu County. It is also called “Roadside Station Washi-no-Sato Higashi-Chichibu.” In addition to a workshop where you can observe and try out techniques involved with handmaking traditional local “Hosokawa paper,” they also have other facilities including a paper making building built during the Edo period, exhibits for traditional culture, restaurants and a food court. These are also direct sales stores for Japanese paper products and agricultural goods.

This fruit farm is located along Prefectural Route 347 in Ashikariba, Hanno City. They grow five varieties of strawberries and ten varieties of grapes. Strawberry picking can be enjoyed from late December to around mid-May and grape picking from early August to around mid-September. It also directly sells strawberries and grapes.

家族でいちご狩りを楽しみました。狭山日高インター近くにあるので、圏央道を使う人には便利なロケーションです。コロナ対策がしっかりしていて、スタッフの方のいちご狩りの説明も丁寧でした。品種も多く、埼玉県でしか栽培されていないいちごを扱っていました。 30分でしたが、充分なほどいちごを食べることができました。ほうじ茶やコーヒーがセルフサービスで飲めるのも有り難かったです^_^

A hands-on workshop on the second floor of a chopstick seller, located in Ichibangai (Kurazukuri-no-tori), near the Saitama Resona Bank. You can try making a variety of handicrafts including glass beads, glass bead accessories, candles, engraved glass pieces, sand-blasted glass pieces, photo frames, candle holders, stained glass accessories, and plush balls. While reservations are not required when the shop is busy priority is given to those with reservations, so it's best to make a reservation before visiting.

店員さんの説明もわかりやすく、トンボ玉作り未経験の私でもでもあっという間に作ることができます。作品の仕上がりに待ち時間が一時間ほどかかるので、周辺には風情のある建物や有名店も多くあったので街中探索をしてすごしました。オリジナルのトンボ玉をお土産にできて、とっても充実した一日をすごせました。駅からはバスも出ていますが、少しかかりますが、町を散策できるので歩きもお薦めします。
