- Ogose Bairin is one of Kanto’s 3 biggest plum forests. Among the 1,000 plum trees are some planted 650 years ago. There is a popular Plum Blossom Festival around the best viewing season, from mid-February to late March.

- Located along the Iruma River, this spot is about a 15-minute walk west of Hanno Station along Prefectural Route 70. The riverside has lots of green space where children can run free in the midst of nature. The river is shallow enough for even preschoolers to play in, and a wooden deck and a boardwalk along it makes it great for a stroll. Lots of visitors come to view the blossoms when the riverbed's cherry trees flower in spring. There's also a shopping area nearby where you can rent equipment to have a barbecue.

- A lake located in Shorakuji, Tokorozawa City. This artificial lake was created by drawing water from the Tama River to serve as a source of water for Tokyo. The surrounding area is maintained as Sayama Prefectural Nature Park and visitors can enjoy the area's seasonal, natural beauty, including spring cherry blossoms and fall foliage; the park is also a wintering destination for water birds. In addition, there's the Sayama Lake Sports Ground.

- Chichibu Kegon Falls is about 600 meters deeper in from Suisenji Temple, the 34th stop of the Chichibu Kannon Pilgrimage. With a fall of over 10 meters, the abrupt fall raises white water in a refreshing spray. At the head of the falls is a statue of Fudo Myo-o with eyes wide open.

- A lake situated along Prefectural Route 186 in Moroyama Town, Iruma County, Saitama Prefecture. Created in 1935 to serve as a reservoir for agricultural purposes, this artificial lake is approximately two kilometers in diameter. The lake is surrounded by abundant, seasonal beauty, including cherry blossoms in spring and fall foliage in autumn; it also serves as the starting point for the 11 kilometer long Okumusashi Nature Trail. In addition, visitors can enjoy boating and fishing for Japanese crucian carp.

- This multipurpose dam run by the prefectural government functions as a dam for flood prevention and storage of water for daily use. You can see a panoramic view of the lake and surrounding greenery or autumn leaves from the levee. There are leisure facilities such as a canoe workshop, fishing spot and restaurants with an overall view of the natural surroundings, and many tourists visit year-round. Fireflies can be seen in the summer, and an event is held once a year to enjoy them.

- This 636-meter mountain pass is crossed by the former National Route 299 connecting Saitama Prefecture's Hanno City and Yokoze-machi in Chichibu County. The view from the top takes in the mountains of the Oku Chichibu area. There is a tea house and a restaurant where you can dine on their Genghis Khan, a local specialty of mutton and vegetables. There is lots to see during the travel season, such as cherry blossoms in spring and colorful autumn leaves. The nearby hiking trails are also highly popular. The pass is also sacred ground for fans of a famous road racing manga. The road is narrow and rough in areas with lots of tight curves. However the scenery is nice so it makes a great drive.

- This reservoir was created when the Tsuburata Dam was built on Arakawa River system's Sakagawa River. Its many cherry trees have made it a popular spot for viewing the blossoms. The lake is stocked with Japanese crucian carp, and there's a pier with a fleet of boats. People come to fish both from the pier and out on the water. You can fish throughout the year with the inclusion of Japanese pond smelt in winter.

円良田湖は農業用水を溜めておくための人造湖で、周囲は4.3ｋｍもあります。竣工されてから60年以上たっているため、とても風情があります。ところが残念なことに、円良田湖周囲にある駐車場やトイレはへら鮒釣り客専用のものばかりで、釣り人にとっては最高の場所だと思いますが、一般観光客は冷遇されており、観光に不向きです。

- Kuroyama-santaki Falls is the collective term for Odaki, Medaki, and Tengudaki Falls on the Mitaki River which flows through Kuroyama Prefectural Nature Park. It’s a gorgeous scenic spot to take in the verdure of spring or colorful autumn leaves, and it has been selected as one of Japan’s top 100 tourist destinations. It is also known as a sacred training ground, used by Buddhist mountain ascetics since the days of old. An event is held to consecrate the waterfalls on the first Sunday of July every year. A walkway and hiking trails let visitors access all three falls.

- "A mountain straddling Chichibu City and Yokoze Town. The mountain's name, comprised of characters meaning ""warrior"" and ""armor,"" is derived from a legend which says the mythical prince Yamato Takeru made an offering of arms to the mountain to pray for good luck in battle. The magnificent form of the 1,304-meter-high mountain serves as a symbol of the Chichibu area. There are two trails on the mountain - the Ubukawa Course, which starts on the Yokoze Town side; and the One Course, which starts at the former site of the Choja Yashiki residence on the Chichibu City side. From the top of the mountain, visitors can get a sweeping view of the Chichibu Basin. There are also hiking trails in the surrounding area."

When Dr. Seiroku Honda—a forestry expert—visited this area in 1928, he gave it the name “Ranzan Valley,” purportedly because the beautiful view of fall leaves and red pines around the gorge reminded him of Kyoto’s Arashiyama. There is a pathway around the valley for you to enjoy a casual stroll. The Ranzan Valley Momiji Festival is held every fall during peak leaf season. Lots of sightseers come to enjoy that.

- This colony of dogtooth violets is located in Ogawa Town, Hiki County. The single large cluster is the result of a regional conservation effort started to reclaim the natural scenery of the satoyama (a border area between mountain foothills and flat land). In early July, there is also a festival to release giant purple butterflies, the national butterfly of Japan. There is also a small museum that serves as a rest area.

- A mountain located on the border between the prefectures of Tokyo, Saitama, and Yamanashi. 2,017 meters tall, it is the tallest mountain in Tokyo. Climbing routes include a route on the Okutama side and a route starting at Mitsumine-jinja Shrine in Chichibu. From the summit, you can enjoy a commanding view of Mt. Fuji and other surrounding mountains. Whichever route you take, it is difficult to reach the top of the mountain in a single day, and most climbers aiming for the summit choose to spend a night at Sanjo no Yu, Kumotorisansou, or another lodging facility on the mountain.

- This 76-meter three-tiered waterfall is at the foot of Mt. Ryogami. There is a parking lot and a path to a lookout with a view of the falls on Prefectural Route 367 on the way to the Ryogami-Sanroku Campground. It's the only cascade in Saitama Prefecture that's counted among the 100 Elections of the Waterfall in Japan. Its beautiful color is due to its relatively small volume of quietly flowing water. The area hasn't been heavily affected by tourism development, so the natural surroundings are relatively untouched. It's a great spot for hiking, particularly in the fall when the foliage changes color.

- This artificial lake located on the upper reached of the Arakawa River was created with the construction of the Futase Dam. Due to the area’s deep connection with Setsuko, Princess Chichibu, the lake was christened Lake Chichibu in May 1962. There is a walking path along the lakeshore, which is also planted with Japanese maples and mountain cherry trees.

- A 497-meter high mountain located in Nagatoro, Nagatoro Town, Chichibu County, Saitama Prefecture. The Hodosan Ropeway can be used to travel from Sanroku Station at the foot of the mountain to the mountain's top in about five minutes. The rear shrine of Hodosan Shrine is located at the top of the mountain, as well as facilities such as Chichibu Hodosan Zoo, the Ume Hyakkaen plum garden, and the Robai-en wintersweet garden. Visitors can also take in the many seasonal flowers which grow here, including rhododendrons, Amur adonis, azaleas, and Kanzakura cherry.

- A large rock located close to the Oyahana Bridge on the Arakawa River in Minano, Minano Town, Chichibu County, Saitama Prefecture. Consisting of exposed piemontite schist containing piemontite, quartz, sericite, and other minerals, a large pothole in the rock was formed via erosion long ago when the rock was a part of the river bottom. As only a few such rocks such as this are found anywhere in the world, it has been designated a Place of Scenic Beauty and a Natural Monument.

- A mountain located in Ryokamisusuki, Ogano Town, Chichibu County, Saitama Prefecture. Situated inside Chichibu-Tama-Kai National Park, the 1,724-meter high mountain has been a deeply sacred place for ascetic Shugendo practitioners since ancient times. Around May, soft windflowers, Rhododendron dilatatum, and other flowers come into bloom on the mountain, and many people come here to enjoy mountain climbing and hiking.
