    A long-standing eel shop that first opened in 1886. The exterior of the shop has a graceful appearance with a small bridge and garden with trees and shrubs. On the inside you'll find the restaurant on the first floor, private rooms on the second floor, and a large banquet hall on the third floor allowing them to accommodate a variety of requests. The private rooms and banquet hall require advance reservations. Along with the traditional eel dishes their menu has a wide variety including authentic Japanese cuisine such as Shokado premium split bento meals, daily specials, and reception feasts.

    平日の夜。予約してお邪魔しました。まずは風情と歴史を感じつつ、気さくなサービス、リラックスしてゆっくり、まったりできます。特上の鰻重、味は重くなく軽く頂けます。いつもどおり、あっ、という間になくなってしまいます。もう少しこってりしている方が好みですがとても美味しく頂きました。

    和の店構えが立派な川越にある食事処です。うなぎ料理がおいしいとの事ですが、ランチで訪れた時にはうどんやそばなどのリーズナブルなメニューもありました。個人的にはひつまぶしがオススメかな。2000円ちょっとで味わえるし、うなぎもなかなかおいしい。店の雰囲気は素敵ですが、そこまで高くないので川越観光に良いかも。
