- "This small buckwheat noodle shop is on Prefectural Route 292 leading to Kusatsu Onsenkyo. The curtain outside the shop has a pattern that represents six old Japanese coins, the ""rokumonsen"" of their name. The rustic Japanese style interior has both table and tatami mat floor seating. They make the noodles themselves with locally produced flour and top-quality water. A la carte items include tempura on rice featuring locally grown maitake mushroom and cubed pork on rice. 祝日に訪問しましたが、12時前に満席でした。 停めやすい駐車場もあり、便利です。 「吾妻路」(1250円)という、田舎そばともりそばのセットを注文しましたが、とても美味しかったです。 どのお蕎麦も大盛がないため、足りない方は、追加のもりそばを550円で注文できるみたいです。 追加の汁は350円です。 そば屋のだし巻きや、野菜天ぷらを次回注文してみたいです。 クレジットカードは使えませんでさした。

中之条ビオンナーレで散策中、お昼になった時に偶然目の前に有った食堂です。 天ざるそば（600円）を注文。予想通り、天ぷらは軽めのかき揚げ1つのみ。そばは、二八蕎麦で普段食べているのに近い、ごく普通のものでしたが、軽く済ませたい方には、お勧めです。 がっつり食べたい方は、セットメニューから選べます。 サラリーマンの方も多く、リーズナブルで庶民的な食堂です。

水車小屋は 草津温泉手前の坂の途中 右手にあるのでわかりやすいです。駐車場も広いので安心。 ご主人の手打ちざるそばがオススメです。つなぎが山ごぼうとのことですが、食感も香りもすばらしいです。 そばがきもグーです 家族四人とも、偶然入店して得した気持ちになりました。
