Nasu Rindoko Lake View is an amusement park set around Rindo-ko Lake in Takakuko, Nasu Town. There are lots of attractions to enjoy such as petting animals like Jersey cows and alpacas, the KAKKU zip-wire which goes over the lake, and a pleasure boat, as well as lots of things to try your hand at such as making butter, etc. They also have Mekke!, a buffet and steak restaurant with market selling foodstuffs from Nasu which people are welcome to visit without having to enter the amusement park proper.

Most products are too expensive, but nice view from there. Shop is full with local area products. Nice place for families with children.

This dairy farm is located along the Yunoka Line in Senbonmatsu, Nasushiobara City. It raises around 500 dairy cows on its vast grounds, which are equivalent to 178 Tokyo Domes. Visitors can enjoy a wide range of attractions including a petting zoo, cycling, hot air balloon rides, a bungee trampoline, a bouncy house, butter churning, and more. The farm has four restaurants with options including jingisukan (grilled mutton and vegetables) and Japanese cuisine. There is also a hot spring spa as well as a shop that offers dairy products, ice cream, bacon, and other processed food products.

On the Kinugawa River Boat Cruise visitors can enjoy the spectacular scenery traveling downstream in a boat skillfully oared by the boatman. The boating experience is in operation daily between mid-April to late November. The rare and oddly shaped rocks and scenery throughout the seasons are magnificent and the cruise thrilling. If there are seats available visitors can board the boat without prior reservations.

It was a pleasant and relaxing boat ride down the river. Despite not able to understand the boatmans introduction of the scenery along the river. We had truly enjoy the scenery.

A ropeway for tourists located in the Kinugawa Onsen hot spring resort village. The ropeway connects Kinugawaonsen-Sanroku Station at the base of a large hill to a scenic overlook at its summit. Also known as “Osaru no Yama” (“Monkey Mountain”), several Japanese macaques are kept at the scenic overlook. Visitors can purchase food to give to the monkeys. Onsen-jinja Shrine stands at the rear of the scenic overlook and enshrines a portion of the deity which the Toyokawa Inari-jinja shrine houses. Viewed as a god of both business prosperity and hot springs, many locals come here to pray for good luck.

A large cage filled with relaxed looking monkeys and nothing else. Walking path was closed due to bear threat. 5 minute activity but costs around 1000 yen.

This tourist railway operates in Moka City, Tochigi Prefecture. Running mainly on weekends and holidays there are two steam locomotives that run year-round. Due to the cotton production that follows the rail-line it has been given the nickname Cotton-Way. The steam locomotives run from Tochigi's easternmost station, Motegi Station in Motegi Town, Haga County down to Shimodate Station in Chikusei City, Ibaraki Prefecture.

It feels so good enjoying the view of railway and it was interesting that the train has strawberrys advertisement, you can also appreciate a really nice railway view from Japan

Come pick seasonal fruits such as strawberries, blueberries, and peaches at this sightseeing farm. There's also a produce shop on site that sells freshly picked fruit and vegetables as well as a cafe area and farm-style restaurant. During the summer they also make a very popular sunflower maze from a field of 70,000 sunflowers.

いちごの食べ放題もそろそろ終わりですね。子供連れの家族が多く見られました。ジェラートを頬張るのはカップルの方達があちこちにいます。みんなが楽しめるファーマーズマーケットです。季節的なのか植物は少なかったです。デコポンは甘酸っぱく美味しかったです。

It's a great spot for fun in the midst of nature with a petting zoo, an adventure playground, a huge sled, and a pasture. Their butter and ice cream making workshops are popular. This multi-generational bamboo farm boasts 24 hectares of beautifully maintained bamboo thickets that stretch as far as the eye can see. From April to June, visitors can enjoy a variety of activities including foraging for bamboo shoots, drinking matcha tea out of bamboo cups, bamboo crafts, and bamboo hammocking. It is also possible take strolls through the bamboo thickets, which are illuminated at night. Relying on the lights from their borrowed paper lantern, visitors can enjoy experience that can only be described as otherworldly.

散歩にちょうど良い広さ(のんびり歩いて30分)映画やCMのロケに使われているのも納得できる感じで、コスプレして写真や動画を撮る目的で訪れても満足出来そう。平日だったのですいていました。

Located in Nikko City, Tochigi Prefecture, this strawberry farm lets you do some strawberry-picking from mid-December to early June. The varieties available for picking include Tochigi’s “Tochiotome”, the new variety “skyberry,” and “benihoppe” with its great balance of sweet and sour. Reservation required for picking, which is 30 minutes all-you-can-eat, and the house is stroller and wheelchair-accessible. Condensed milk is free of charge. Strawberries and strawberry jam are also available for purchase.

Tochigi Nikko-shi

"A steam locomotive running from Shimo-Imaichi Station to Kinugawa Onsen Station on the Tobu Railway. It traverses the 12.4-kilometer route in about 35 minutes. The C11-207 is a steam engine built by Hitachi's Kasado factory in 1941. It's called ""Kani-me"" because the two headlights in the front are thought to look just like a crab's eyes (such trains usually have one headlight). Though it was scrapped for a time after that, it was brought back into service in foggy Hokkaido starting in 2000. The rooms resemble as closely as possible the time when they were newly made and have a nostalgic feel of the Showa period. You can also see the railway turntables that were essential for steam engines at Shimo-Imaichi Station yard and the square in front of Kinugawa Onsen Station."

You can pick and eat all the strawberries you'd like in a 30-minute period but please be aware that if you'd like to pick the Tochihime strawberries advance reservation is required.

急にいちご狩りに行きたい！っと思ってさがしたのがココ予約制でないので行きやすいし土曜日の12時に着きましたが大きなハウスが沢山あり案内されたハウスは私達家族だけで貸し切り状態で良かったです。

Nasu Ropeway connects the Sanroku Station located at Nasu Highland on Mt. Nasu in Yumoto, Nasu Town, with Sancho Station at the ninth hill station of Mt. Chausu. This small rural elementary school is a place where people can experience life in the countryside. Originally opening in 1874, it was a place of learning for countless children for 124 years until it closed. The wooden schoolhouses, which are preserved just as they were, are still used today. Visitors can stay overnight at the school and cook their own meals in its outdoor cooking area or its classrooms. It also offers a fun and educational stargazing and astronomy programs (reservation required).

Tochigi Areas

Most visits to Tochigi revolve around Nikko, a small city home to the spectacular, lavishly decorated Toshogu Shrine and Nikko National Park with its mountains, lakes, waterfalls, onsen, and wild monkeys. Neighboring Oku-Nikko is an extension of the fantastic scenery famous for its autumn leaves, while Tochigi’s capital, Utsunomiya, is the only place in the world where you can find oya stone beautifully exhibited in temples and the Oya History Museum.
