"A Japanese confectionary shop located on the Nagacho Shotengai shopping street in Oarai Town. The shop's popularity exploded after its ""Mitsu Dango,"" skewered triple dumplings which are a local Oarai favorite, were featured in a popular animated television series. Plump mitarashi-style flour dumplings covered with a special sauce and kinako toasted soybean flour, their novel texture combined with their familiar, old-fashioned flavor have long made them a favorite with locals. Customers can purchase a single skewer or sets of five or 10 skewers. Now that Oarai has become a mecca for anime fans, the shop also has anime-themed displays and sells merchandise as well."

Just a stone’s throw from Tokyo, Ibaraki is a coastal prefecture that has mastered juxtapositions, where old shrines meet new scientific discoveries and traditional gardens are frequented by the inventors of some of the newest technology.
