World’s largest free-standing bronze statue—at 120 meters. The inner body is divided into five levels—one floor for trying sutras, one floor with 3,400 internal buddha statues, and an observatory deck where you can see Mt. Fuji and Tokyo Skytree from a height of 85 meters. There’s plenty to enjoy in the area too, from the small zoo where you can see monkey acrobatics or feed small animals to the Pure Land-style gardens with beautiful flowers in each season.

Walking around an hour to visit the temple and its beautiful gardens. We came right in the cherry blossom then we had opportunity to take many pictures Recommend this visit

This ancient Rinzai Buddhist temple, founded in 1185, is notable for its thatch roofed main temple building, a rarity in Japan. According to records, the temple was built by Minamoto no Yoritomo to pray for continued luck in war, and the temple's copper bell was gifted to it in the distant Kamakura period. The temple possesses numerous valuable historical artefacts and items designated Cultural Properties by the national government, prefecture, and city, making it an essential destination for those looking to experience the history of Itako City.

A Tendai Buddhist temple located a 15-minute walk from Ryugasaki Station on the Kanto Railway Ryugasaki Line. The temple's principal object of worship is a standing figure of Amitabha. The two-tiered pagoda standing on the grounds is an extremely rare example of Muromachi period architecture whose date of construction precedes 1556 and has been designated a National Important Cultural Property. The temple holds a grand fire prevention festival on December 23 which looks beyond differences in sect and creed. During the festival, the ashes of a huge bonfire are scattered on the ground and a fire walking ceremony is held in which anyone can participate with an advance reservation.

This is a Shingon Buddhist temple of the chizan sect in Naka City. There is an approximately 16-meter tall statue of Bishamonten, at the entrance to the temple that is said to be the tallest of its kind in Japan. It was modeled after the work of the artist Unkei, whose wood-carved statue of Bishamonten is housed in the Bishamon Hall. The original statue was created in the mid-Kamakura period, and is designated a Cultural Property of the prefecture. This temple is also the seventh temple of the pilgrimage stops along the Kaiunka temple pilgrimage route that visits the primary eight-bodies of gods which protect the year of your birth, one of twelve horary signs. "A Buddhist temple located a 20-minute drive from Hitachi-Ota Station. The shrine's origins date back to when Emperor Tenmu stayed in the area for two years when he was still a prince and later had a Buddhist image and statue of Prince Shotoku enshrined at the location. During the distant Kamakura period, Hatakeyama Shigehide (second son of Hatakeyama Shigetada, who was killed under suspicions he was plotting to overthrow the government) entered the priesthood, built a temple hall, and lived here, after which he dreamed of a blue lotus, leading to the temple gaining its current name- ""Shorenji"" means ""Blue Lotus Temple."" The temple also famously appears in the famous late Edo period true story known in Japan as the ""Two Filial Daughters of Bungo Province."""
