    A cherry tree on the precincts of Hannyain Temple in Ne-machi, Ryugasaki City. The Edo-higanzakura weeping cherry is about 10-meters high, about five-meters in circumference, and is about 400 years old. It's been designated a Prefectural Natural Monument. Many sightseers visit in the spring.

    A street in Kannondai, Tsukuba City. It's located in the Tsukuba Agricultural and Forestry Research Complex, which is used for the study and advancement of agriculture. It is famous for cherry blossom viewing, with about 500 cherry trees including Yoshino cherries and double-flowered cherries. Visitors enjoy the contrast in color with the adjacent rapeflowerfields.

    This is one of the areas of the Sanuma Koiki Park, in Shimotsuma, Shimotsuma City. In addition to being a famous cherry blossom viewing spot where 350 trees of around 50 types have been planted, it is also home to the Iris Garden, which is at its best from late May to mid-June, and the Sanuma-an, which is a multipurpose training hall with a Japanese garden. It is also connected to the opposite side of Samuma agricultural irrigation pond by the longest bridge, the Sanuma Ohashi Bridge, which is a Y-shaped bridge with a total length of 395 meters.

    A 300-plus year-old weeping cherry tree in Sotoono, Daigo City, Kuji County. It's said the tree was hand-planted by Tokugawa Mitsukuni, the second lord of the Mito domain. It has been designated as a Prefectural Natural Monument. The Sotoono Shidarezakura Festival is held when the tree is in bloom, along with a variety of events.

    A cherry tree in Odo, Ibaraki Town, Higashiibaraki County. With a circumference of seven meters and a height of 15 meters, the tree has been designated as a National Natural Monument. It's over 500 years old. It is said that Tokugawa Mitsukuni – the second lord of the Mito Domain – was fond of it. It usually blooms around mid-April when many sightseers visit.

    A stretch of Prefectural Route 293 running from Hitachi Station to National Route 6. It's a well-known cherry blossom spot with about 120 Yoshino cherry trees planted along a kilometer of the road. It's been selected as one of Japan's top 100 cherry blossom viewing sites. The Hitachi Cherry Blossom Festival is held there every April, when they illuminate the trees at night, hold events, and more.
