"A soba noodle restaurant located on the west side of Yamabuki Sports Park notable for the elegant atmosphere of its building, which incorporates classy hinoki cypress wood. The restaurant is also situated in a scenic area; the ""Yamaderabansho"" one of the traditional Eight Views of Mito scenic sights, is located on the mountain behind the restaurant; and the Seizanso, said to have once been the home of Tokugawa Mitsukuni of ""Mito Komon"" fame, is located nearby. The restaurant makes its vaunted noodles with flour stone milled on the premises using primarily Hitachi Aki buckwheat. The ""Gentei Seiro"" noodles are particularly popular. Made by hand using manually harvested, sun dried heirloom Hitachi Aki buckwheat from Kanasago, only 20 servings are made a day. The restaurant's cafe space is particularly popular with women; here you can enjoy a cup of Japanese tea and a sweet like soba zenzai sweet azuki bean soup with buckwheat."

A soba noodle restaurant standing along Prefectural Route 61 near the Mazaka Castle Ruins. The restaurant's simple menu consists of just soba topped with various types of tempura or tororo (grated yam). In the winter, the restaurant also offers kenchin soba noodles. The vegetables used for the restaurant's tempura are all either home-grown or gather in the wild among the mountains. The restaurant's noodles are made with fragrant Hitachi Aki soba buckwheat. The restaurant also serves Japanese vegetable pickles as appetizers, ensuring patrons can savor the bounties of the local land. The delicious taste of the restaurant's wares keep customers coming back again and again, and this popular establishment bustles with patrons right from the moment it opens.

The owner, originally from Kagawa Prefecture, makes renowned, chewy udon noodles served piping hot fresh from the pot. A soba restaurant located a short walk from Shimonomiya Station in Kuji County, Ibaraki Prefecture. The restaurant's soba noodles are made with pure underground Tsukimachi Waterfall water and over an 80% percent ratio of stone milled buckwheat flour to wheat flour, resulting in noodles that are aromatic and clean-tasting. The restaurant offers slippery thin-cut noodles and fragrant thick-cut noodles depending on the toppings. Plus, there's an all-you-can-eat nagashi-somen noodle slide course in summer. The restaurant's fragrant, home-roasted coffee is also popular. Located close to Tsukimachi Waterfall, diners can hear the pleasant sounds of the falls, and the surrounding forest is particularly gorgeous in autumn.

"A soba noodle restaurant located an eight-minute drive from the Tsuchiura-kita interchange on the Joban Expressway. Here diners can enjoy Tokyo-style soba noodles lovingly prepared using select ingredients. The buckwheat flour the restaurant uses to make its noodles is specially ordered and has a faintly sweet and fragrance. Tsuyu dipping sauce is the foundation of any soba noodle restaurant, and this establishment offers two varieties-a strongly flavored karajiru sauce made with high grade katsuobushi (dried bonito) and natural konbu, and a more lightly flavored amajiru sauce made with a blend of standard katsuobushi (dried bonito) and dried top quality katsuobushi (dried bonito). The ""Hirame Tenzaru"" set, which includes crispy flounder tempura and chilled zaru soba noodles, is one of the restaurant's most popular menu selections."

Ive been to this restaurant for 25 years. This is one of the best Soba restaurants in Tsukuba. Not only its Soba noodle is great but also their Tempura is wonderful as well.

"A soba restaurant located a five-minute drive from Kairakuen Park's Kobun Bridge. Due to the presence of Mt. Yamizo and the Abukuma Highlands, the local area is one of the most fertile farming regions in northern Ibaraki Prefecture. The Naka River and Kuji River running through the area are also rich in minerals. Accordingly, the flavor, fragrance, and texture of the Hitachi Aki buckwheat grown in the area is exceptional. The father and son who run this restaurant make use of this prized buckwheat to make their noodles, alongside other ingredients grown in Mito and Ibaraki Prefecture as well as their polished skills. Particularly recommended are the ""Inaka Zarusoba"" cold noodles which present the simple flavor of the buckwheat used, and the ""Tokusei Mito Ume Curry Soba"" noodles made with Mito-grown turmeric."
