  • Bandai-Azuma Skyline Drive

    This is a sightseeing road in Fukushima City. It’s a 28.7 kilometer line connecting Takayu Onsen to Tsuchiyu Pass. It was once a toll road but is now free to use. Taking the route through to Azuma Mountain Range to an elevation of 1,350 meters offers a beautiful view of Mt. Azuma-kofuji and more. Every season has its attraction, such as the lovely foliage in fall, but the road is closed in winter.

    A garden in Janohana, Motomiya City. The garden has a variety of flowers that bloom throughout the seasons and features a nearly 300-year-old wisteria trellis as well as roses, tulips, and hydrangeas. The garden also has a viewing platform, walking trails, and a restaurant. It's also home to the Ja no Hana Palace, a representation of Meiji architecture that has been registered as a Tangible Cultural Property of Japan. Seasonal events are held including the Wisteria Festival and Fall Colors Festival.

    A 170 meter long overpass spanning the Tsubakuro Valley in Fukushima City, Fukushima Prefecture. The bridge is also one of the Eight Picturesque Sights of Azuma, observatory points scattered along the Bandai Azuma Skyline. From the bridge, visitors can enjoy the seasonal scenery of the area; the location is particularly renowned for its fall foliage in autumn. During the fall foliage season, many tourists come here to take in the view.

    堰き止められたダム湖は「もにわっ湖」との名を持つ福島市の北のはずれにあるロックフィルダムです。訪れた日はちょうど放水を見ることができ、暑い日でしたので涼をいただけました。緑深く穏やかな水面に心が落ち着きました。
