    This product promotion center is located inside the first floor of Corasse Fukushima a three-minute walk from JR Fukushima Station's west exit. Its features a sake area, a special product area, a handicrafts area, and a lounge aimed at conveying the high quality of Fukushima Prefecture's products to as many people as possible in an enjoyable manner. The handicrafts area exhibits both traditional and modern including a line of products produced by the designer Junko Koshino that represent the best of what Fukushima has to offer.

    Its reasonable to be wary of typical souvenir shops. I lived three years in Queensland, Australia. Shops that catered to Japanese tourists visiting Queenslands Gold Coast were terribly overpriced...

    This ice cream shop is directly operated by Katahira Jersey Shizen Bokujo. The shop is located just off the Ryozen-Iitate Interchange of the Tohoku Chuo Expressway and sells ice cream that makes use of the nutrition and flavor of Jersey milk as it is. The most popular soft-serve ice cream is made from Jersey milk, which accounts for less than one percent of the domestic milk supply. The smooth, rich and thick milk flavor is a prized taste that is loved by everyone from children to adults. In addition to basic milk, fresh ingredients are added to the ice cream, and there are always about 20 flavors of ice cream available, including chocolate chip, green tea, rum raisin and blueberry.

    とても美味しいジェラート屋さんです。人気のお店で、朝から賑わっていました。ミニサイズ(220円)をいただきましたが、十分なボリュームです。チョコ味も濃厚でした。

    This long-standing confectioner first opened in 1888. Located some 500-meters from the Soma City Government Office they offer traditional Japanese sweets, top quality fresh seasonal confections, baked goods that make for perfect presents, and more. The specialty of this authenticity-oriented shop is their Madoka Manju which features a gentle elasticity and springy outer dough. They offer two varieties, each carefully and individually made, one with a strained red bean paste filling with a brown sugar dough wrapping and the other with a white bean paste filling with a miso dough wrapping. Their Irodori sculpted seasonal mochi treats are a beautiful confection that make for the perfect gift.

    Fukushima Nihonmatsu-shi Take Onsen 1-13
    This Japanese confectionary shop in Dake Hot Spring has been making its bean paste-filled Kuroganeyaki pastries by hand the same way it first did in 1948. The confection was presented to Prince Takamatsu when he visited the area on ski trips in 1955 and 1957. Another one of the shop's notable products is its peach paste-filled Sakurazaka, which won the Sado Iemoto Prize at the 23rd National Confectionary Exposition. All of the shop's many products make great souvenirs.

    This confectionary shop established in 1956 is best known for its Fukufukuwa Manju buns, which won the grand prize at the 1984 National Confectionary Exposition. Another of its many other popular products is their Fukufukushu cream puffs, which comes in two great varieties; the lightly-flavored white cream and the popular chocolate cream. Yet another is their soft Fukushima Yakyoku pastries, which feature a filling of syrup-pickled apples.

    2019年7月、福島競馬場近くの福福和本舗へ行って来ました。店内にはカフェスペースもありました。いろんなお菓子を試食できるのも嬉しかったです。吾妻っこ(1個150円税別)を購入しました。

    This fruit farm offers fruit picking relatively close to central Fukushima City. It is located about five kilometers west of Fukushima Station and about two kilometers north of Fukushima Nishi Interchange on the Tohoku Expressway. The farm specializes in peaches, a specialty of Fukushima, of which it grows 18 varieties (and more than 30 varieties if you include saplings). It also grows 10 varieties of cherry and one variety of apple (as well as two additional varieties that serve as pollenizers). The farm takes great pride in the diversity of the fruit it grows. It is possible to enjoy cherry picking starting around early June and peach picking starting around mid-July. The farm also sells cherries, peaches, and apples and will even offers home delivery service.

    This pickle shop sells pickles inspired by an anecdote from more than 700 years ago. Their traditionally-flavored products are made by thoroughly lactic acid fermenting ingredients collected at peak seasonality in-house using old fashioned techniques that have largely fallen out of favor. The shop's most popular product is their Tochanzuke. These spicy garlic and soy sauce-pickled cucumbers, which are accented with finely-chopped daikon radish, are made with cucumbers and Egoma leaves grown locally in Fukushima.

The bustling alleyway is lined with shops focused on local production and location consumption."

    「あだたらの里」の敷地内にあります。 福島や郡山の駅ビルにも店舗展開しているパティスリーです。 こちらのお店はカーディーラーのような外観になってます。 カフェも併設し休憩も可能です。 生キャラメルやバターサンドなどを主力商品にしているようですが、私はチーズケーキを購入しました。 ふんわり、しっとり系のチーズケーキで、値段もリーズナブルでおいしかったです。
