Particularly popular are the cafe's homemade soba noodles crated with locally grown buckwheat, and its chicken seiro-meshi rice made with chicken and rice steamed in a seiro basket in the cafe's old-fashioned kamado hearth. The restaurant's sweets are also made with local ingredients.

    This ice cream shop was established in 1948 and is directly operated by the dairy Aizu Chuo Nyugyo. The additive-free soft-serve ice cream without any fragrance is sold at the direct sales shop adjacent to the factory. White as the snow falling on Mt. Bandai, it is known for being able to taste the full milk fat flavor. Many fans come from far away to enjoy the soft-serve ice cream with its richness and melt-in-your-mouth taste. The shop continues to produce a rich variety of ice creams, including Japanese-flavored green tea, sesame lavishly kneaded with polyphenol-rich black sesame seeds, and blueberry with a refreshing, popular flavor.

    Okuya Peanut Factory is famous for its Royal Peanut soft-serve ice cream made fresh every morning with Aizu-grown peanuts. The peanuts are crushed with the skins, and the ice cream served at a perfect almost-melting temperature. They also offer wholesale bean sweets, including Okuya specialty Hanayome Amanatto sugared red beans or Kentamame mixed nuts. Their Kogen no Tsuyu, made with large, moist, sweetened scarlet runner beans are a real hit. It’s five minutes’ walk from JR Kitakata station.

In Aizu, this candy is a local favorite and sold at stalls during New Year's and at temple and shrine festivals. The candy has an amber color and distinctive chewy texture.

The shop's moist gateau chocolat is also popular. The shop also has an eat-in space.

The restaurant is all-you-can-eat, and diners can enjoy grabbing and eating noodles floating along a slide in pure spring water while surrounded by natural forest. The restaurant also serves shioyaki river fish broiled with salt as well as dishes made with watercress. Located in a spot that is cool and refreshing even in the middle of summer, families with children and others come here in part to escape the heat. The restaurant is open from late April to October.

    サザエさんのオープニングにも出てくお店のとのことですが、ふれあい通りを散策中に見つけました。蔵造りの立派な建物で2階の開き窓が印象的でした。残念ながら、開店時間前のようで木戸が閉まっていました。

Their ""Caramel Pudding Roll,"" a popular product with pudding inside caramel cream, has won the Grand Prize at the Fukushima Roll-Cake Festival. Their basket of baked sweets and jellies makes a great gift."

    ホテルという名ですが、実質レストランの集まった建物です。アクアマリンやら・ら・ミュウのすぐ近くにあるので、食べる所に迷ったらここに行けばいわきの味が楽しめます。でも、地元の人は行かないみたいです。

    This confectionery shop is located in a renovated rice granary from the Taisho period (1912-1926). Coffee brewed from spring water in the deep mountains of Aizu and the dumplings made from 100% Koshihikari rice are available at the shop, which is only a three-minute walk from Nanukamachi Station. In the antique-style store, Aizu brand-approved products, traditional crafts and antiques are displayed, and you can relax while enjoying the products with your eyes. Their sweets set that comes special fresh cream dorayaki with drinks such as coffee, tea and kelp tea is the best way to take a break from exploring Nanuka Town. Aizu souvenirs such as Nishin Sanshozuke (Japanese sansho pepper-pickled herring) and Aizu kozuyu (root vegetables and soup with dried scallop stock and seasoned with salt and soy sauce) are also available.

    この近辺は夕方に行くとほぼ閉まってしまうので一休みする場所を探しているときに見つけました。店内は広くないですが、その分とても落ち着いていて、とても居心地が良かったです。看板犬がとても可愛かったです。

In addition to classic fresh cream, they have a wide variety of flavors including matcha, caramel, chocolate and cheese. The ""Aizu Seven Lucky Dumplings"" made with Aizu Koshihikari rice is popular for its soft texture and gentle sweetness. Their mountain yam buns served as a tea ceremony confectionery at Rinkaku, a tearoom associated with Sen no Rikyu, is loved as an ancient Japanese confectionery."

    週末限定ですが店先でみたらし団子が売っており、甘い物がふと欲しくなり入ってみました。店横には小さいベンチもあるので座って小休憩を取ることも可能。店内は美味しそうな和菓子が並んでおり、気になったら買ってみるのも悪くないかもしれません。

Their ""taroyaki,"" stuffed with sweet bean paste that has large chunks remaining, are obanyaki stuffed pancakes also called ""kintsuba"" in Aizu. It is loved for its mild sweetness, which makes it delicious even when it cools. In addition to standard bean paste, there is a wide variety such as white bean paste, cream, green peas paste and chocolate. Their shaved ice using homemade syrup can be eaten any time of the year."
