- Castle remains in Tanagura Town, Higashishirakawa County. It was built on the orders of Niwa Nagashige in 1627. During the Edo Period the lord of the castle changed frequently, seemingly every time a large turtle was seen floating in the castle moat, leading to it also being called Kamegajo (Turtle Castle). The castle fell during the Boshin War at the end of the Edo Period and in modern times the area is now Kamegajo Park. It's a well-known spot for cherry blossom viewing and the Juman-goku Tanagura Castle Festival is held during the blooming season.

- A campground in Nishizawayama, Itozawa, Minamiaizu Town, Minamiaizu County. Auto-camp sites, first-come first-served campsites, and a rhododendron garden cover the hills and fields that are also inhabited by quite a few wild animals including rabbits. Some of the camp sites are pet friendly and the deepest part of the camp area is a youth camp used by groups such as the Boy Scouts.

- A park in Sadori, Hinoemata Village, Minamiaizu County. It's located along the Ina River, northeast of Lake Ozenuma. The park was designed to allow visitors to experience the seasons of Oze with a variety of plants and flowers from the Oze region including Asian skunk cabbage, Nikko day lilies, and Dicentra peregrina.

- An art museum adjacent to the Sasaya Hotel in 3 Chome Kitakata City. The hotel storehouse—originally constructed in 1891—was reformed into this museum. Over 100 works of art are on display—paintings, books, and ceramics that are mainly the work of Yumeji Takehisa, a painter and art dealer who lodged here thanks to his connection with the third landlord.

- Jupia Land Hirata is a large park of about 1.7 hectares where visitors can enjoy seeing 200,000 plants of flowering moss phlox from the beginning to the middle of May every year. The moss phlox is planted using the slope, and the view of the red and pink phlox covered hill is magnificent. The Moss Phlox Festival is held when the phlox is in flower.

- Shiki no Sato (Village of Four Seasons) is a place to look, eat, and have fun. In the handicrafts workshop, visitors can try their hand at making kokeshi wooden dolls or at glass decoration. At the farm restaurant, visitors can enjoy draught beer supplied direct from the Asahi Breweries Fukushima plant, as well as Mongolian barbecue and freshly-picked vegetables. The “Tree Branch Plaza” offers plenty of things to do even on rainy days. Shiki no Sato is very popular with families.

- A botanical garden located in Sukagawa City, Fukushima Prefecture. 10 thousand azalea plants large and small bloom on the garden's 33,000 square meter grounds. The scenery created by the park's two hills covered in azaleas is particularly popular. In addition to azaleas, visitors can also view rhododendrons, wisteria, irises, and Chinese peonies here. An entrance fee is required when the azaleas are in bloom but otherwise the garden is generally free.

Clear spring water also wells up from the ground here and the park has been selected as one of the 100 most beautiful forest areas with a natural spring. The park is frequented by local residents.

- The largest swimming beach in Fukushima Prefecture in the south. In an area of coast known as Kikuta-ura with two boulders in the center of the beach. The shallow coast makes it incredibly easy to swim in and the white sands make it particularly beautiful. The beach is also easy to access by car and is only 10-minutes from the Nakoso Interchange along the national road through the beach. There is plenty of hospitality and surf shops right next to the beach which makes it a great location to enjoy marine sports.
