- A well-known udon & soba shop in an old temple school building of a former samurai residence, in Kakunodate Town, Semboku City, Akita Prefecture. The specialties are a smooth rice plant udon using hinaijidori chicken or maitake mushroom, and locally-produced buke soba with buckwheat flour aroma bamboo shoot and beefsteak plant (macrophyll) tempura inside. It is a popular tourist spot for its exterior and interior that still retain the atmosphere of the Edo period.

Excellent Oyako-don which is the best one in my life. Also Inaniwa udon with egg plant tempura is very good.

- This is a restaurant remodeled from a warehouse built in 1919, with an attractive subdued modern-retro atmosphere. One can enjoy coffee and a menu with locally-produced rice grown with few pesticides and fresh vegetables. The daily special lunch, available weekdays, is particularly popular. In the grounds of the “Akita Kakunodate Nishinomiyake” samurai residence, one can enjoy walking around Japanese-style sweet cafes and artifact exhibition spaces. Access from Kakunodate Station.

秋田県内に宿泊する際はかなりの頻度でゆぽぽに宿泊して、ばっきゃにて食事をしています。 地ビール1時間飲み放題はかなりお得だと思います。提供も早いし、地ビールの質を考えるとペースが早ければ簡単に元が取れるかと(^^) おつまみ系のメニューも食事も美味しいです。 ただ、今はコロナの影響?なのか生もの系のメニューが提供されていなかったり、土曜の定番の劇団のライブが中止になっているのが残念です。

- Morokoshian specializes in the traditional sweet Morokoshi, made from shaped adzuki bean flour, and is the originator of the uncooked Namamorokoshi version. Founded in 1957, it's long been loved as the premier purveyor of Little Kyoto Kakunodate's famed Namamorokoshi sweets. The Bukeyashiki shop is on Bukeyashiki-dori Street near JR Kakunodate Station. They have a wide selection of morokoshi goods and seasonal items as well.

平日12時過ぎに訪問、すぐに座れました。 ランチメニューカツ丼とミニ蕎麦598円税抜を注文。 10分程でやってきました。 味は可もなく不可もなく価格を考えれば相応。 支払い時に現金のみと言われ、令和元年11月にチェーン店でキャッシュレスじゃなく現金のみに正直ビックリしてお店を後にしました。
