    A roadside station located in the almost exact center of the northernmost three prefectures of the Tohoku region. The facility has a restaurant serving kiritanpo toasted mashed rice skewers and other local dishes, a cafeteria serving set meals, and a soba noodle stall, as well as a shop selling local specialty products and a farm fresh shop selling local agricultural products. Classes on making kiritanpo, yosegi-zaiku wood marquetry, and other local dishes and crafts are held here, as well. There’s an exhibit displaying some of the gorgeous floats used in the Hanawabayashi festival, and tourist information is also provided here.

    ロの字型の建物で、中庭を囲んでお土産物屋さんやレストランなどが並んでいます。 産直品を売るいちばコーナーでは名物のバター餅や野菜、果物とその加工品など手ごろなお値段で売っていました。 きりたんぽ発祥の地だそうで、きりたんぽづくりの体験もできるようです。

    This roadside station is along Akita Prefectural Route 2 Odate Towada-ko Line. It's fully equipped with restaurants, direct sales areas, large restrooms and a rest station. It's near the Manma Land direct sales facility for local brand Momobuta pork, and convenient to one of Japan's 100 Best Waterfalls, Nanataki. The restaurant and direct sales area are closed from around November to the beginning of April.

    初めていきました。自然豊かな環境の中にたたずんでおり、また、十和田湖に近く旅の途中によるには最適です。矢立峠から入ってきましたが途中の経路も景色がよく楽しいドライブで今度は青森側から入ってみたいとおもいました。

    This roadside station is along National Route 285. This local product center offers goods made with local specialties like Hozuki and Kohaze berries, as well as items from Akita cedar. The restaurant serves 10-wari Tenzaru Soba made with 100% domestic buckwheat flour, and a wide range of other meals. There is also a shop displaying and selling local wildflowers, and locals often gather here to mingle.

    This roadside station is along National Route 101. The direct-sales facility next door Orahonokan offers fresh, seasonal farm products, and the restaurant serves delicious Ishikawa Soba. The information corner allows traffic updates via their touch screen panels. The Nishikaigan Herb Garden is also nearby, and from late June into July they hold a Lavender Festival.

    This roadside station is along National Route 105 in Kita-Akita City, Akita Prefecture. At the local product sales center Matatabikan, you can of course get goods made with the local specialty matatabi, or catnip, as well as bear meat and more. In addition, the restaurant serves Matatabi Ramen. The nearby Yasu no Taki falls, Matagi Museum, and Kumakuma-en (Bear Garden) bring many tourists as well.

    This roadside station on National Route 285 is famed for being on the Hinai-jidori chicken farm grounds. The restaurant offers a wide variety of dishes including those with Hinai-jidori chicken including ramen and Oyakodon chicken and egg rice bowl. The direct sales shop also offers goods made with Hinai-jidori chicken. The location is perfect to drop by while sightseeing in the nearby Oga Peninsula and Lake Towada.

    秋田県と青森県の県境にある道の駅です。少しわかりづらく使い勝手はあまりよくないかなと思います。 売店やトイレは思っていたよりもコンパクト、レストランは充実しているかなという印象ですがなんとなく物足りない印象でした。

    道の駅と言っても、小さなお店があるだけで、殊更珍しい物は有りませんでした。 この道の駅は奥に有ります[お殿水]の方に興味をもって見学し、一杯飲んでみました。流れを途切れさせることも無く、竹の筒から流れ出る水に興味を引きました。

    じゅんさいもありましたが、少し足を伸ばせばじゅんさいの館があるし・・・農産物もありますが旅行中には・・・「是が非でも寄らないといけない！」という内容ではありません。ただ、コチュジャン味噌がここの名物らしく、これは「買い」だと思います。きゅうりと相性が非常にいいです。
