    One cannot miss this tourism spot at the entrance to the Oga Pennisula where two 15-meter high giant statues of Namahage, local ogres, are guarding its entrance. In addition to personalized tourism information from the staff, pamphlets of each area of the site are also available. A computer is also set up at the computer corner for instant information retrieval about the Oga area, while a video presentation of local events and tourist sites is also continuously playing on a screen to inform the visitors about the area. There are local specialty items for sale, and one can stop and enjoy a light meal at the cafe, or visit the outdoor stage and flower garden.

    The Sato Yosuke Flagship shop was founded in 1860, controls every step of the process meticulously, from ingredient selection to shipping, and manages everything in-house for their Inaniwa Dried Udon. At the Flagship Store, not only can you try the shop's products on-site off their full menu, you can also watch the master makers at work on a tour of the factory. There is also an attached tourist information center and shop selling Akita specialties.

    佐藤養助さんは、都心に3店ある以外は、全て秋田県内に店舗があり(海外店舗は除く)、なかなか行けなかったんですが、今回は3連休を利用して秋田へ遠征! 稲庭うどんは絶品!二味、3玉、天ぷら付きも、アッという間の完食!特にゴマだれツユが、ホント旨かった!紅葉にはまだ早かったけど、ドライブがてら来て正解でした。帰りにお土産も買いました。さて、今夜は温泉でゆっくりします。 ごちそうさまでした。

    This center offers a fun way to learn about the World Natural Heritage Site Shirakami-Sanchi. There is an on-staff nature advisor to offer guidance and explanation to visitors. They also offer support for individual or group nature tours, but reservations are needed in advance.

    A tourist information center in Sanjugama, Hachimori, Happo Town, Yamamoto County. It's located at the head of the trail heading to the famous Sanjugama scenic location along the Mase River. The wooden dome building is made with local lumber and serves as an information center. Located nearby is the Shirakami Fureai Center with exhibits related to the nature of the Shirakami mountain region as well as a shop with local goods and hands on learning classes and an area for BBQ.

    This shop is the primary place to find local products from Masuda town in Yokote City, Akita Prefecture. They have apple and apple products, Japanese sweets, dried mochi and more, including miso and local sake. The building itself was donated to Yokote City by the Ishida family, who were highly active in the city's metal trade, and the Uchigura-area in the back is open to the public.
