    "The Sensory Museum consists of three spaces: the Dialogue Zone (physical sensory space), the Monologue Zone (meditation space), and the Travers Zone. In the Dialogue Zone, there is a giant wheel ""Circle-n-Circle"" with a diameter of 3.2 meters, which draws lines on the wall when moved in motion. There is also a corner with creative musical instruments made of wood and bamboo, where visitors can enjoy communicating through sound."

    This museum theme is human five senses. Those exhibits made a unique experience. Although this is for kids, I think it might be interesting for adults too. ACCESS:10 min walk from Iwadeyama...

    Located around 25 minutes’ drive from Tsukidate Interchange, Hosokura Mine Park is a theme park built on the site of the former Hosokura Mine, which closed in 1987. The facilities at the Park faithfully recreate the way the mine appeared when it was still operational; visitors can walk along the mine shafts, and can learn about how mining was carried out. There is also a Hosokawa Mine Museum which displays items discovered in the Mine, has extensive information about the Mine’s history, and has examples of important types of mineral ores and models showing the Mine’s operations, etc. There is also a gold-panning experience zone where visitors can try their hand at panning for gold dust; visitors can take the gold dust that they collect home with them.

    栗駒山から鳴子峡に向かう途中に、旧鉱山があるとわかり、急遽立ち寄りました。ゴーストタウンの雰囲気で、見学者も我ら2人だけ「？」との気分でした。 ただ坑道や地域の説明により、このような産業(労働者)が日本を影で押し上げた事が良くわかり、貴重な文化遺産です。

    Miyagi Osaki-shi Furukawa Nanokamachi 3-10
    A shopping area along Prefectural Route 1 in Furukawananoka Town, Osaki City. The shops are in the warehouses of the long-standing Hashihei Brewery which was founded during the late Edo period. There are ten warehouses, the main building, and a detached building where you can find shops selling local sake and specialties as well as other miscellaneous goods and a variety of restaurants.

    ここは古い蔵を改装して、飲食店などが入っている施設です。大崎市市役所の近くにあり、道路沿いの蔵は今、改装しているようです。施設内には、駄菓子屋やカレー屋などがテナントで入っています。夜にはイルミネーションを実施していました。

    This complex is on the Sanuma Highway in Koganeyama, Wakuya Town, Toda County. It features exhibits on Japan's first gold mining area and goldsmithing techniques, some that were even used for the Great Buddha of Nara at Todaiji Temple. There is also a display on the adjacent Koganeyama Gold Mining Site, a National Historic Site. Their shop sells manju buns with gold leaf, gold leaf crafts, regional food like soft oboro dofu bean curd, and more. There is also a restaurant serving local cuisine and a facility offering gold panning workshops.

    この地域で金採掘が盛んであったことに由来して、金に関する展示がメインとなっている資料館です。 金細工の工芸品の展示もありました。 資料館とは別料金で、砂金取り体験もできるようでしたが、評判がよくないのでパスしました。

    A 30 minute drive from the Taiwa and Furukawa interchanges on the Tohoku Expressway. This park, situated on a hill on National Route 457, is a renowned destination for viewing flowers. The park's flowers and landscaping are meticulously maintained, and visitors can enjoy the sight of cherry blossoms in April, Chinese peonies in early June, bigleaf hydrangeas in July, and crape myrtle from September to mid-October. The park's 10 thousand red and white Chinese peonies are particularly stunning in early summer, and each year while the flowers are in bloom the park holds a Chinese peony festival. There's also a popular park golf course which makes use of the site's natural terrain.

    色麻町には河童の伝説があるようで、町内のあちこちで河童の像が飾られていました。ここ愛宕山農業公園も河童公園で噴水には親子連れ風の河童像が飾られていました。また直売所もあったのですが、季節限定、曜日限定の限定ショップでした。売られている野菜は限定品ではなく、一般的な野菜です。

    This is the Ichinokura Sake Brewery's showroom. It's on Prefectural Route 242 in Matsuyama, Matsuyama Sengoku, Osaki City. It has exhibits featuring antique sake brewing equipment, and materials related to sake's history and brewing process. There are also a picture gallery and an event space, and they hold a variety of planned exhibitions including one featuring the work of the local swordsmith Hokke Saburo in spring and fall. Adjacent is the Jizake-ya-Hana-no-Kura with an eatery and a gift shop selling local specialty items and Ichinokura sake.

    物販・飲食の施設です。一ノ蔵のお酒はもちろん（すず音も）そろっていますが他にも地元のものを購入できます。レストラン（食事処）では食事のほかスイーツもいただけるようです（当日訪問の時間はすでにクローズ）。

    This climbing trail takes climbers up Mt. Kurikoma which straddles the prefectures of Miyagi, Iwate and Akita. Both the Chuo Course and the Higashi Kurikoma Course start from Iwakagami-daira, which is located along Prefectural Route 42 in Kurikomanumakura, Kurihara City. A rest house has been built at the trailhead.

    A park in FurukawakawakumaChojahara, Osaki City. It was established in conjunction with the Miyazawa Site, a national historic site. The park features a historical town with recreations of ancient dwellings as well as a playground with a 25-meter long roller slide and an open area with attached cooking space that can be used for BBQs or parties (advance request required). Also, from the top of the slide you get a great view over nearby Kejonuma which is a home to wild migratory birds.

    Yakurai Water Park is a facility located at the foot of Mt. Yakurai with heated pools and hot spring baths that are open all year round. There is a comprehensive range of facilities, including 25 meter pools for walking and for swimming, a pool with water 50 centimeters deep for children, a “lazy river” pool, as well as water slides and other facilities that all the family can enjoy. The hot spring baths include a range of saunas and outdoor baths, etc., making this an ideal place for a hot springs day-trip. There are superb views of Mt. Yakurai from the windows, enabling visitors to relax and unwind while admiring the changing of the seasons.

    お抹茶に上生がついて500円と雰囲気も良いのにとてもお安いです。中では民芸品なども売っています。隈研吾さん設計の登米懐古館もすぐ隣で外観が眺められます。街歩きの後ここで一息のんびりして下さい。

    登米市内、迫町にある小さな博物館。古い町並みなどが残る登米地区からは少し離れています（もともと登米郡迫町だったものが、平成の合併で登米市になった）。この周辺が、北上川の水運で栄え、またその洪水で苦しんできた歴史などがよくわかる展示がされています。

    地元出身女流作家を讃える美術館。「髙倉勝子美術館開館10周年記念特別企画展」を見に行きました。入館料２００円。周辺施設同様ペイペイ支払可。陸軍中尉であった夫の任地広島で被爆し全身負傷、奇跡的に助かった背景を踏まえた「原爆の図」は必見。丸木夫妻とは別の意味で原爆の地獄絵が展開されています。美術作品等の写真撮影はご遠慮願いますとの張り紙。トイレの温水洗浄便座も真面に機能してイイな、クスッ。
