A 20 minute drive from the Shiroishi interchange on the Tohoku Expressway heading towards Zao. This is one of two public bathhouses in the Togatta Onsen hot spring district known since ancient times as a destination for religious mountain climbing and therapeutic bathing. The bathhouse' men's and women's bathing areas, enshrouded in the fragrance of cypress from Aomori, both have a very hot and a lukewarm bath. The bathhouse also has a free footbath outdoors. The waters of the bathhouse' sodium calcium-sulfate chloride springs are soft and said to treat such ailments as nerve pain, rheumatism, and women's diseases.

遠刈田温泉の共同浴場。隣あたりに駐車場もあります。かなり大きな施設で、入浴料は400円。たくさんの人がこられていました。ぬるゆとあつゆがあり、熱湯は45度くらいですが、入ってしまえば、熱さを感じません。析出物も多く、パワーを感じる温泉です。14時までに退出が必要です。

"An eight kilometer, 10-minute drive from the Shiroishi interchange on the Tohoku Expressway. This day trip hot spring bathhouse is located on Tonton no Oka, a naturally lush hill surrounded by undeveloped woodland on the western side of Ogawara Town. The bathhouse constantly replenishes its tubs from a source spring ""kakenagashi"" style and without the use of any added waters. The waters of the bathhouse' natural spring are alkaline and soft; gentle on the skin, they are also said to have skin beautifying properties. The old fashioned Japanese home-style bathhouse building is filled with warm, welcoming wooden fixtures. Customers can enjoy one of two bathing areas - the stone Ishi no Yu and the wood Ki no Yu; which is the men's and which is the women's bathing area alternates on a weekly basis. The bathhouse' restaurant serves an abundant variety of dishes, including vaunted Mochibuta pork cuisine."

バーベキュー、アスレチック、動物たちとのふれあいとエサやり、温泉があり、１日でも遊べそうなスポットです！！バーベキューはなんと！1300円で、モリモリ食べれてしかも最高に美味しいですね！バーベキューのあと温泉に入り、サイコーでした。広くはありませんがいい湯でした。

This public bathhouse is located in Asahicho, Togattaonsen, Zao Town, Katta County. Constructed by carpenters specializing in temples and shrines, the facility is a recreation of an Edo period bathhouse. Visitors can bathe in the famous hot spring waters of Togatta Onsen, which are said to help with conditions such as nerve pain, muscle soreness, and joint pain. There is one more public bathhouse, Kami no Yu, located in the same hot spring district.

遠刈田温泉の共同浴場のひとつ。温泉街の中にあって、駐車場はありません。土日祝日のみの営業のようで、訪問時は休業中の札がかかっていました。

A 20 minute drive from the Miyagi-Kawasaki interchange on the Tohoku Expressway. This public bathhouse is located in Aone Onsen, a hot spring district whose history stretches back over 400 years old and which was a favorite therapeutic bathing destination for the mighty samurai lord Date Masamune. The environmentally and people-friendly bathhouse building is made with local wood from Kawasaki Town. An extremely simple bathhouse with a single large bath, the facility is frequented by locals as well as visitors from far and wide as a day trip natural hot spring bathing destination due to its reasonable prices. The waters of the bathhouse' mildly alkaline simple spring are gentle on the skin and are said to treat such ailments as nerve pain, rheumatism, lower back pain, and eye pain; in addition they are popular with women due to their skin beautifying properties.

青根温泉不忘閣に宿泊した際に利用。青根温泉の日帰り入浴施設です。青根洋館の向かいあたりで、駐車場も広いです。単純泉のかけ流し。けっこう人が多いです。

A hot spring district located inside Zao Quasi-National Park which commands a view of Mt. Zao, famous for its frost-covered trees in winter and emerald green caldera lake. Situated 330 meters above sea level, records show that this area was first developed as a hot spring resort in the early Edo period. The area was also once known as Yudatta, a word which can mean boiled. Long renowned as a destination for enjoying therapeutic hot spring bathing in addition to serving as a base camp for pilgrims climbing Mt. Zao as areligious act, the history of the area dates back over 400 years. The mild waters of the area's chloride springs are gentle on the skin and contain sodium, calcium, and sulfate. They are said to treat nerve pain, gastrointestinal disorders, and chronic skin diseases. A public bathhouse which makes extensive use of luxurious and fragrant Aomori cypress stands in the center of the district. The district is conveniently located a one hour drive from Sendai City and many tourists from within the prefecture and throughout Japan make their way here.

角田、大河原訪問時に大河原のグリーンホテルを初利用した。震災後に出来たそうでまだ新しく感じた。大浴場がありノンビリ出来た。おふくろの朝食も品数も多く良かった。大河原駅までタクシーで10分以内でした。

部屋は1棟で風呂、トイレ付。レンジ、電気ポット、冷蔵庫、テレビがあり、ペットホトルの水2本付いていました。食事なしで申し込みましたが、レンジがあるので持参した物を温めて食べれました。岩盤浴は、付いているバスタオルを敷いて30分ほど横になっていると汗が沢山で、その後温泉に。温泉は、旅館と同じで何でも付いてます。無料のマッサージ機があり、体をほごせて良かったです。日帰りの人の利用もありました。
