- A shopping mall hosting 26 establishments located a one minute walk from JR Onagawa Station and adjoining the pedestrian walkway in front of the station. The mall is notable for its many restaurants serving dishes made with seafood caught in the waters off Onagawa, all of which are distinctly colored by local culture, such as a restaurant owned and operated by a tuna boat captain. The mall also hosts establishments tied to the community such as apparel sores and a barber shop, and the mall serves the needs of local residents as well as travelers visiting the area. The mall is adjoined by Hama Terrace, a tourism facility with eight establishments include restaurants and shops selling seafood products.

- This museum is in Kesennuma City, Miyagi Prefecture is a lifelong learning facility dedicated to creating a unique, regional culture through the development of permanent and planned projects. On the first floor they exhibit materials related to their own research conducted over a two-year period after the Great East Japan Earthquake. Visitors can observe about 500 items, including 203 photographs taken of the disaster site since March 11, 2011, 155 disaster related items, and 137 historical documents. The second floor features a permanent exhibition of history and folk culture, as well as a set of illustrated panels called the Ark Diary depicting the lives of local people and how they're supported by a rich food environment.

海の市１階にあります。 受付で防寒用のコートを借りて大きな冷凍室に入ると氷漬けの魚が並んでいます。 命に対する冒涜とまではいいませんが、ちょっと悪趣味な感はぬぐえない。 少なくとも水族館ではないよね、といった印象でした。

- "The museum is located about five minutes by car from JR Watanoha Station. Visitors can learn about the achievements of the Keicho Diplomatic Mission to Europe and the culture of sailing ships during the Age of Discovery by viewing a large screen showing the interior of the restored ship, the San Juan Bautista, a galleon that sailed the Pacific Ocean and back in the 1600s, and an aerial view of the ship. The adjacent ""Ishinomaki City San Juan Bautista Park"" was built in the image of the Italian square seen by HasekuraTsunenaga and others of the Keicho Diplomatic Mission, and outdoor events are also held there. Ive visited this site several times since 2014. However, its been over two years since my last visit. Now you cannot go to the dock around the ship. You cannot board the ship. I talked to the women...

- This facility is approximately 25 minutes by car from Onagawa Town. It is located near the Onagawa Nuclear Power Plant and introduces the process of nuclear power generation through models and images in an easily accessible way. It also presents a detailed exhibition about nuclear power and its perception in society through panel displays and video based on the aftermath of the accident at Fukushima Daiichi Nuclear Power Plant due to the Great East Japan Earthquake. Their Sweet Garden on the premises has 70 varieties of roses, and they hold a rose garden fair from early summer to fall. This facility lets visitors see, feel, and learn while enjoying themselves.

- This is a park atop Hiyoriyama hill that is famous for offering a view of all of Ishinomaki. Long ago it was said to have been frequented by the haiku poet Matsuo Basho. On a clear day one can see the Oshika Peninsula and the islands of Matsushima across the water. Known as a place to see cherry blossoms, the Hiyoriyama Cherry Blossom Festival is held every year in April, and is lit up at night for spectacular scenery.

It has the only shark museum in Japan where visitors learn hands-on about shark ecology and the bonds to the sea that nurture the population. Their enormous replica shark is a highlight. They also have ice projection mapping and ice sculpture displays, testifying to the port town's talent for ice art. A large variety of shops provide processed products and fresh seafood landed at Kesennuma and Sanriku area.

- This is a national park which was established in May 2013 in order to contribute to the reconstruction of the Sanriku region which was damaged by the Great East Japan Earthquake, and preserves the “Miracle Lone Pine Tree” and other remnants of the disaster. Visitors can see nature and geographical features unique to the coastal areas such as a rare sea shore (the Tanesashi Coast) where the “sand squeaks”, colonies of rugose rose and sweat pea etc., and the scenic spot of Ohakozaki Senjojiki representing Kamaishi City. There are some visitor centers and museums in the area, exhibiting materials related to nature, ecosystems and the disaster in each area, providing tourist information and multilingual brochures.

- This swimming beach is located on Kesennuma Oshima Island in Nakayama, Kesennuma City. Beautiful semi-circular beach and the gentle waves and wind make for calm spot for sea bathing. The Ministry of the Environment has chosen it as one of the Selection of best 100 beaches. It was severely damaged during the 2011 earthquake and tsunami, but it has been restored by the local residents and outside volunteers.

- A swimming beach generally bustling with visitors located a 15 minute drive from Nobiru Station on the JR Senseki Line. The beach is opened for swimming around mid-July and for around one month thereafter. The paid parking area can accommodate 100 vehicles. The beach is equipped with portable toilets, paid showers, and lifeguard stations. The beach's gentle waves ensure children can play here with peace of mind and it is a popular destination for families. The beach was damaged in the 2011 Great East Japan Earthquake but construction on the embankment has now been completed. There are many minshuku traditional Japanese-style bed and breakfasts in the area which continue to serve guests fresh, tasty seafood delights as they have for centuries.

- This beach resort is located in Kitakamicho, Ishinomaki City, Miyagi Prefecture. During peak season about 10,000 beach goers visit each year for its white sand, shallow waters, and calm surf. Although it received heavy damage during the 2011 Tohoku Earthquake and Tsunami, through the cooperation of local volunteers it re-opened on a limited basis in 2013. It has portable toilets, a women's changing room, a foot washing area, and a parking lot.

石巻市の公共の体育館で、きれいに整備整頓されています。 JR石巻駅からは徒歩でも行けるのですが、急な登り坂ですから、自家用車を利用する方が多いです。
