    At “Chez Nous” guests can enjoy French seafood cuisine distinctive of port town Shiogama. The menu offers food making the most of fresh seafood. In addition to the pleasing extensive menu, there is also a children’s menu. A private room next to the restaurant is prepared for patrons with infants and under school age children. It is recommended to inquire about it when making a reservation. The main floor is a French country house style with a warm atmosphere. It is a three minute walk from JR Hon-Shiogama Station.

    12年前、娘の結婚顔合わせの時にとてもお料理がおいしく、素敵に演出していただき 感激しました。久しぶりのランチフルコースも期待どうり大変美味しかったです。 地元の食材を工夫してお料理され、ここでしか味わえないコースでした。 赤のワインともマッチし、ワインもお料理も堪能しました。最後のデザートも3種類 違ったデザートを楽しめ、おなかもいっぱいでした。

    The Matsushima Tourism Association Oyster Shack is a tourist-oriented oyster café run by the Matsushima Tourism Association. The Oyster Shack is a prefabricated building with iron cooking plates and pipe chairs; unshelled oysters are cooked rapidly at a high temperature on the metal plates for visitors to eat. Set Meal A, which includes all-you-can-eat oysters as well as oyster rice and oyster soup, needs to be booked at least one day in advance; Set Meal B, which includes only all-you-can-eat oysters, does not require advance booking. The Oyster Shack only operates during the winter months when oysters are in season, from late October through to early March.

    Taritsuan is a seafood restaurant in Matsushima, one of Japan’s top three scenic spots. The restaurant’s two signature dishes are the Hitsumabushi, (eel on rice) using carefully selected domestic conger eel, and the deep-fried oysters, made with oysters from the best regions of the season. As well as these lunches available in limited quantities during the week, and various course meals, guests can order deep-fried oysters from as little as one oyster or more. Guests can also enjoy magnificent views of Matsushima from inside the restaurant.

The technique for making this famous additive-free confection has been passed down to a single successor for 23 generations over 700 years. In addition to versions flavored with caster sugar and Wasonbon sugar, there is also a version flavored with healthier reduced maltose sugar.

    Located a 10 minute walk from Hon-Shiogama Station, Kameki-Sushi is a popular sushi restaurant in Shiogama City, which boasts an abundance of sushi restaurants. Diners can enjoy Sanriku seafood brought in that morning into Shiogama Port flavored with moshio seaweed salt, a Shiogama specialty product. The seasonal assortment is particularly popular, and gives diners the chance to enjoy a variety of seasonal nigiri sushi pieces at a reasonable price. Kameki Sushi’s tamago-yaki rolled omelets made with surimi minced fish are also very popular. Due to the cheesecake-like appearance and elegant sweetness, many people order one to enjoy almost like a dessert.

    塩竈市に来たので食事はお鮨と決めていたので利用させていただきました。お昼の混み合う時間帯を避けて来店しましたが少し待たせられました。カウンターに案内されて握りのセットを頼みましたがとても美味しかったです。単品でも頼みましたがそれも普通に美味しかったです。カウンターにいる職人さんとも会話ができてとても満足できました。

    A Japanese restaurant located close to the Zuiganji Temple and the Entsu-in Temple, two renowned ancient temples, in Matsushima Town. The restaurant was originally built as a tea room to provide temple worshipers with a place to take a break. Today the establishment has a large banquet hall able to accommodate 400 people and serves as a tourist restaurant. There's a soft serve ice cream stand at the entrance where you can buy tofu, zunda mashed boiled green soybeans, and other unusual ice cream flavors. The restaurant's sweets menu includes zunda mochi rice cakes, anmitsu sweet beans in syrup, and kuzukiri kudzu jelly noodles flavored with Japanese apricot.

    松島の観光は主に徒歩な為、見処が多いので時々休みたいです。 此方は御食事から甘味まで、親しみやすい価格設定で、瑞巌寺観光の後に立ち寄りました。 お汁粉とずんだ餅を其々に頂き、甘味に添えられた口直しの香の物や美味しい御茶に生き返る思いがしました。 松島は高額高級な設定のお店が多いですが、此方の様な親しみやすい価格のお店がもっとあちこちにあれば、滞在者が増える事でしょう。

    A cafe and restaurant located a 10 minute walk from JR Matsushima-Kaigan Station close to the Godai-do Temple, one of Matsushima's most popular sightseeing destinations. The establishment has four floors. The first floor is a cafe which sells souvenirs as well as popular manju steamed buns stuffed with beef tongue, a local specialty. The second floor is a Western-style restaurant where you can enjoy select, seasonal lunch dishes while taking in a view of nearby Matsushima Bay. The Tamaya Lunch set, which consists of an A version and a B version diners can choose between, is particularly recommended. The Japanese-style restaurant on the fourth floor is popular with families and serves a grill-it-yourself thick beef tongue set meal as well as a seafood rice bowl topped with fresh fish.

    An oyster restaurant serving an abundant variety of dishes made with fresh oysters located just a 25 second walk from Matsushima-Kaigan Station on the JR Senseki Line. This popular establishment has been frequently featured in various media and is only the second restaurant where you can enjoy the much talked about Matsushima fried oyster burger. The restaurant's hitsumabushi chopped broiled oyster over rice and Oyster Express course meal are also highly renowned. You can also order oysters prepared how you like from just a single oyster, and the restaurant is frequented by many women on solo trips who love the establishment's casual style. Note that the restaurant closes when it's supply of oysters for the day runs out.
