Most of the restaurant's menu selections are accordingly simple and served with mugimeshi boiled barley and rice.     Fukizushi is a venerable sushi shop, founded in 1948, and located in Toraya Yokocho Alley in Kokubuncho, near Sendai Station. It takes great care to serve local food for local consumption, with fish from the Sanriku region, rice from Miyagi Prefecture, and locally produced sake. The restaurant takes special care with its famous Sendai Zukedon, a dish that originated there, a bowl of local rice topped with fresh local whitefish that has been marinated in a sauce made in-house. Customers can also sample a set meal that epitomizes the flavors of the Tohoku region; it includes rock oysters caught off the coast of Miyagi Prefecture and three kinds of local sake tasting set.

    Kato is a sukiyaki restaurant located about two minutes on foot from Kita-Yobancho Station. The restaurant is managed by a meat shop from where a whole Sendai cow is purchased and the choicest parts of the meat are selected by professional chefs. Using a more than 50 year old secret sauce the sukiyaki is prepared and served to perfection. As well as their ‘Sendai beef first-rate sukiyaki’ of rib eye steak, Kato also serves other types of sukiyaki dishes such as their ‘Sendai beef fillet sukiyaki’.

    すき焼きのお弁当を注文しました。冷めても柔らかいお肉と味の良い出汁の味付けがとても良かった。今度は温かいうちに食べたいとリピート計画です。店内で食べてないのでサービス面は評価できませんが、味はさすが専門店!でした。

    Sendai Izakaya Ohana always has 40 to 50 types of sake from Tohoku and Miyagi available and is a popular restaurant for sashimi (sliced raw fish) and local cuisine created by experienced chefs. There are also many quiet private rooms that can be used for various events such as dinner parties, dinner meetings, welcome parties, and dates. Advance viewings are also accepted. For lunch the “Daily Ohana” is recommended, and at night the “Basho course, with all you can drink” is recommended. Guests will be very satisfied with both presentation and taste. It is a four minute walk from JR Sendai Station.

    仙台駅から徒歩5分ほど。クリスロードに面したビルの1階にある居酒屋。カウンター席、テーブル席、座敷があり、シャンデリアがぶら下がる店内はお洒落な感じ。季節に合わせた地酒があり、牛たんなどの郷土料理の他、銀鮭の香草焼などの洋風料理もある。料理は手が掛かっており、見た目が美しく味もおいしい。 たまたま入った店であるが大当たりであった。

Of course, the restaurant's beef tongue is delicious, but the restaurant's atmosphere and the service are also excellent, and the establishment was featured in the Michelin Guide Miyagi 2017. The restaurant's mainstay beef tongue is carefully prepared by skilled chefs making use of techniques refined and handed down since its establishment. The tongue is broiled to order over a charcoal fire, giving it a unique, crisp texture. Popular side dishes for further enjoying the flavor of the tongue include fresh cooked mugimeshi barley and rice, and a flavorful tail soup.

    東北大学の近くの地下にあるお店。 フランスから友人が来たので、レンタサイクルを借りてすぐに、牛タンを食べにここに。 安定の喜助の牛タン定食をフランス人も美味しいと言って食べてました。 会計時にカードを使おうと思ったら使えず、、、海外の人も増えつつあるので、対応してもらえるともっと良いですね!

The restaurant was featured in the Michelin Guide 2017 Miyagi Special Edition and an advance reservation is required. The restaurant is snug but still provides a spacious atmosphere which is soothing and relaxing. Both lunch and dinner are omakase (chef's choice) and diners will enjoy a traditional kaiseki course meal featuring seasonal flavors. Two courses are offered in the evening-a standard kaiseki-style meal and, a meal with a small soft-shelled turtle hotpot. The restaurant carries a variety of alcoholic beverages including a selection of sakes from the Tohoku region with a focus on Miyagi brewers such as Onumaya, which makes use of Miyagi-grown Sasanishiki rice; and Hakurakusei. The restaurant currently operates under the name Okazaki Kasuga-machi.
