    A shopping complex located a short walk from Kamaishi Station on the Kamaishi Line in Kamaishi City, Iwate Prefecture. Here you'll find shops like Shichibeya Shoten and Azumasengyo-ten which sell dark sleeper, salmon from Sanriku Kamaishi, and other fresh seafood as well as foods like dried fish and pickled fish. There are also numerous restaurants serving Kamaishi ramen, and rice bowls piled high with tasty seafood treats like ikura salted salmon roe and sea urchin. The facility is also connected by skyway to Sea Plaza Kamaishi on the other side of the road, making this a convenient place to pick up all kinds of gifts and souvenirs.

Sanriku Kaiho-zuke is a best-selling productmade with a blend of Sanriku mekabu (wakame seaweed root) pickled in a secret sauce, Sanriku abalone, and salmon roe atop, which has been boiled using a unique damashi-ni technique to make ittender. The rich and full flavor is perfect to go with white rice. The store also sells other seafood products, such as Hotate ougon-zuke, which is soy marinated mekabu with salmon roe steeped in sake, as well as Hotate herring roe ougon-zuke.

It sells mostly baked goods that contain traditional Japanese ingredients, such as Busu no Kobu, which combines granulated sweet bean paste with artisan Shigure butter. It also sells Western-style baked goods, such as cheesecake and rusks. Its products are popular souvenirs and gifts.

    あまちゃんで一躍話題になった久慈の定番のお土産はぶすのこぶというあんこの入ったお菓子です。沢菊のお店は久慈駅からでも徒歩圏内で久慈駅から道の駅に行く途中にあり、久慈の観光エリアから立ち寄りやすい場所にあります。ぶすのこぶ以外にも特産のやまぶどうを使ったお菓子が売られていました。

    Iwate Kuji-shi Chuo 3-38-2 Sanriku Railway Kuji Station Building

    三陸鉄道久慈駅の駅構内にある駅弁屋さん。うに弁当が有名で、1日限定20個とか。久慈駅近くのホテルに宿泊したので、朝食用に朝7時にうに弁当を購入しました。朝7時の開店。開店直後ではうに弁当はありました。1850円。うにが敷きつめられていて、見るだけでも贅沢な気持ちになれます。美味しかったです。
