The market carries an abundance of seasonal fruits and vegetables, flowers, and homemade foods. The market is also filled with side dishes and popular Japanese confections made by local mothers such as ganzuki, a local cake redolent with the aroma of brown sugar; and kirisensho, a chewy rice flower cake with a salty-sweet flavor. In addition, there are breads made with wheat grown in the prefecture, 10 grain rice blends, Hanamaki blue flowers, and a wide variety of foods like dressings and somen noodles. In the market's restaurant, you can enjoy free refills of Hitomebore rice grown in Hanamaki.

There is also a corner for fried foods lined with freshly prepared side dishes, and you can also enjoy local flavors such as “tofu dengaku” with garlic miso and “kushi mochi” with walnut miso in chewy mochi rice cakes.     5年ほど前に行ったときは、地元の野菜、食品が大量にあり、お土産を全てここで済ますことができたが、今回は棚も空きが目立ち、全国どこにでもあるような商品も増え、全体的に縮小した感じがしてちょっと残念だった
