- Sawagiku Confectionary, located in the city of Kuji, Iwate Prefecture, has been in business since 1930. It sells mostly baked goods that contain traditional Japanese ingredients, such as Busu no Kobu, which combines granulated sweet bean paste with artisan Shigure butter. It also sells Western-style baked goods, such as cheesecake and rusks. Its products are popular souvenirs and gifts.

あまちゃんで一躍話題になった久慈の定番のお土産はぶすのこぶというあんこの入ったお菓子です。沢菊のお店は久慈駅からでも徒歩圏内で久慈駅から道の駅に行く途中にあり、久慈の観光エリアから立ち寄りやすい場所にあります。ぶすのこぶ以外にも特産のやまぶどうを使ったお菓子が売られていました。

三陸鉄道久慈駅の駅構内にある駅弁屋さん。うに弁当が有名で、1日限定20個とか。久慈駅近くのホテルに宿泊したので、朝食用に朝７時にうに弁当を購入しました。朝７時の開店。開店直後ではうに弁当はありました。１８５０円。うにが敷きつめられていて、見るだけでも贅沢な気持ちになれます。美味しかったです。

ほっともっと初めて利用しました。時間がないからすぐ来るかなと思いきや、日曜の昼時はやはり混んでいて、結構待ちました。（店内も小さめ） 自動販売機で注文、支払いとなっているのでゆっくり選べて支払いもスムーズでいいと思いました。頼んだ豚汁がアツアツで美味しかった！
