    A roadside station opened in 2004 which serves as a tourism information center for Tohoku Town. Many tourists driving through the area stop here to take a break. The grounds host a farm-fresh shop selling Chinese yams and garlic-local specialty products-as well as other fresh vegetables. The farm-fresh restaurant serves local dishes made with local farm products. Particularly popular are the basket clam ramen, made with a broth created using fresh basket clams from Lake Ogawara; and the Mt. Hakkoda soft serve ice cream, made with milk from Tohoku Town.

    A roadside station located in Yokohama Town, which has the largest area dedicated to growing canola flowers, known as nanohana in Japanese, in the country. In Nanohana Plaza, you can buy canola flower donuts, vegetables picked that morning, and Japanese scallops from Mutsu Bay. The station's unique building was also modeled after a Japanese scallop.

    お昼ごはんを食べに寄りました。 生のホタテ丼が食べたかったのですが、ここのはホタテフライをたまごでとじた丼でした。 ホタテは大きく肉厚で美味しかったです。

    The ferry terminal connects Oma at the northern most point of Honshu with Hokkaido by the shortest route. There are two round trips a day, and the one-way trip takes 90 minutes. Since the Hakodate Maru, Japan’s first open ocean ferry, went into service in 1964 connecting Oma and Hakodate in 90 minutes, it has become established as a lifeline route and is now also designated as a maritime road as National Highway No. 279. It is also perfect for enjoying Hokkaido with a car and your pet dog, and various facilities that cater for pet dogs are available on board.

    This roadside station is notable for the Former Tomabechi Residence, an old, thatched roof Japanese-style home standing on the station's grounds which has been restored and which is designated an Important Cultural Property by the town. The station has a shop selling local town specialty products and farm-fresh produce, a restaurant where you can enjoy dishes made with Rokunohe Town-grown vegetables, and a facility which engages in research and demonstrations regarding agricultural and livestock processing. At the research facility, anyone can try making their own original processed foods using agricultural products. Application required.

    ニンニクの一粒がでっかい。この辺の道の駅ではニンニクの形が綺麗でした。全体的にはこじんまりしてますがその分静かです。野菜等は少なく加工品が多い感じ。梅干しが綺麗で安い。

    A restaurant operated by a Fukuura fisherman where you can enjoy the flavors of Shimokita. The restaurant serves seasonal seafood dishes such as sea urchin, spear squid, and salmon. The restaurant's sea urchin rice bowls are served from May to August and require an advance reservation. The restaurant is closed in winter.

    長テーブルと小上がり。典型的な田舎のドライブインといった 感じでした。 イカの刺身定食が新鮮で美味しかった。 本当は期間限定のウニ丼が食べたかったので残念… 名勝、仏が浦から車で10-15分くらいのところにあります。 店周辺は自然に囲まれてます。

    Located next to the Kawauchi Dam and Lake Kawauchi, considered one of the 100 most beautiful dam lakes in the country, this is the northernmost roadside station on the island of Honshu. The facility has a restaurant where you can eat keiran sweet bean paste-filled rice cakes and other local dishes as well as soba noodles and cuisine made with highland vegetables and other local ingredients. There's also an observatory and a shop selling local specialty products from Kawauchi Town. The surrounding area is maintained as a nature park called Lakeside Park built around Kawauchi Dam, and here you can enjoy beautifully seasonal natural scenery.

    大間崎から海峡ラインをひたすら走り、疲れた頃にちょうど良い休憩ポイントです。地元の野菜の直売もあり、この日は立派なゴボウと長芋を数百円で購入できました。

    A roadside station with a restaurant serving soba noodles made exclusively with buckwheat grown and ground into flour in the Nango area. In addition to being able to enjoy this renowned handmade juwari soba, visitors can also purchase locally grown farm-fresh vegetables and fruits as well as pickles and other foods made from the same or even stay in the station's convenient hotel. Visitors can also try making their own handmade soba noodles here.

    南郷は、蕎麦で有名らしい。新蕎麦が出たばかりで、販売会を行っていた。650円で山菜蕎麦を食べた。言うほど、美味しくはなかった。

    A local specialty products facility located inside the Taigyo Mutsu Integrated Wholesale Market, ensuring that the foods you buy here are as fresh as can be. The facility also displays dramatic nebuta floats used in the Nebuta Festival year-round and also plays traditional nebuta music, ensuring even those visiting when the festival is not being held can come in contact with this unique aspect of local culture. Here you can buy renowned local specialty products such as tuna from Oma, Japanese scallops from Mutsu Bay, and fresh squid from the Tsugaru Strait; in addition to other local delicacies, sweets, and folk crafts. The facility's 600 seat restaurant is also popular.

    すごく広い駐車場の割には、なんか、何にもないなーというイメージでした。入口にあるねぶたをバックに写真を撮って帰りました。

There's also a restaurant serving dishes made with local ingredients and a farm-fresh shop selling an abundance of fresh farm products. There adjoins the Takayama Uichi Memorial Museum of Art.
