In addition to the raw sea urchin rice bowl, the boiled sea urchin and tuna rice bowl and the sea urchin and abalone rice bowl, the miso-stewed shellfish set meal and the ramen with Funori seaweed are also highly recommended. You can also eat fresh squid depending on the season.

    A 30-minute drive from Okutsugaru-Imabetsu Station. This Japanese seafood restaurant is located inside Hotel Tappi. Offering warm and inviting Japanese-style dining rooms and casual table seating, the restaurant is suitable for small groups and also offers a hall perfect for banquets. Customers can choose their seating based on the nature of their dining engagement and enjoy the fresh-caught delicacies of the sea off of Tsugaru to their heart's content. All the fish caught in the Tsugaru Strait is considered first class, with fat, firm meat. Particularly recommended is the hearty seafood rice bowl piled high with fresh seafood delights. The restaurant also offers an abundance of other a la carte dishes, such as sashimi and piping hot tobanyaki seafood roasted on a ceramic plate.

The restaurant takes great pride in serving stunningly fresh sushi made with seafood offered at the market brought in from Hachinohe Port and the surrounding seas. Making maximum use of its prime location in the market, many of the restaurant’s menu items are sold at very reasonable prices. Particularly recommended are the ika-zanmai, saba-zanmai, and aburi-zanmai sets, which let you eat and compare different varieties of squid, mackerel, and aburi-zushi broiled sushi, respectively. One of the most popular activities for tourists is to take the seafood and meats purchased in Hasshoku Center and immediately grill and enjoy them at Shichirinmura. All of the sellers at the market also offer services such as dressing meats so you can easily grill them. Shichirinmura also conveniently sells sake and side dishes perfect for enjoying with your barbecue.

Every day fresh food is prepared by master chefs using carefully selected seasonal ingredients to produce local cuisine which has been passed down for more than 30 years. Here guests can enjoy local sake and local dishes like grilled scallops with miso, and kenoshiru soup, as well as local seafood favorites and rice bowl set meals. The restaurant also caters for course meals with prior booking and set meals for large groups. Guests can also use the private rooms and tatami seating with views overlooking Aomori Bay.

    2泊3日の青森旅行で初日にランチのため訪問しました。事前に席を予約しておきました。入店すると賑やかな店内と反対側の静かなテーブル席があるほうに案内されました。窓際のテーブル席のため10階から青森港(陸奥湾)の景色も見えました。漁獲量日本2位の青森に来たのでメニューに[当店一番人気]と記載されている「つがる定食」と「お刺身定食」をオーダーしました。新鮮な魚介の郷土料理を堪能しました。

    “Kurayoshi,” a restaurant in a sake brewery storehouse dating from the Edo period, is famous for its dishes known as “the world’s best tempura noodles,” “the world’s best superior tempura noodles” and “duck hot pot” as well as the specialty of Kuroishi, “Tsuyu yakisoba”. Although the volume and price of “the world’s best tempura noodles” and “the world’s best superior tempura noodles” is surprising it is easy to understand their popularity. There is also an extensive menu offering other single items and Japanese-based meals. It is a 10 minute walk from Kuroishi Station on the Konan Railway Konan Line.

    Anzu is a restaurant where customers can listen to impressive live performances of Tsugaru shamisen (a traditional stringed instrument) while dining on fresh food from both the sea and land. Live performances are held twice a day for 30 minutes at 7p.m. and 9p.m. Since the musicians perform without a microphone, customers say that the realisticfeeling is somewhat different from that of a typical live show using a microphone. The interior, decorated with kites and paper goldfish lanterns, is centered on an open hearth, and in the winter, it is possible to charcoal broil shellfish, such as scallops, spear squids, and red king crab.

    出張の際、津軽三味線が聞ける店という事で寄りました。20人程しか入れない小さなお店で、目の前で迫力ある演奏を聴きながら地元の料理と酒を楽しめます。
