    Hokkaido Monbetsu-gun Omucho Omu Honmachi

    雄武町に宿泊することになり、町役場の隣にある浅倉旅館に泊まりました。仕事の人で満室でした。いかにも町の商人宿という雰囲気ですが、部屋は改装されたのか畳も新しく綺麗で気持ちよく過ごせました。

    玄関先にあるスリッパはバラバラ状態・・・ここからはじまり、部屋はほこりがひどく、ゴミ箱は片づけられておらず、テレビはうつらない。共用の女子風呂は水がない状態、浴室・脱衣所には使用済みのタオルが山積み、しまいには布団が1セット足りない状態でした。従業員の対応もひどく、もう二度と利用するつもりはありません。ただ、夕食のジンギスカンは美味しかったです。

    This hot spring is owned and operated by Hotel Hinodemisaki. From the hotel's outdoor bath in winter, bathers can watch ice floes practically right in front of their eyes. Situated along a coast extending some 35 kilometers which is the southernmost place in the northern hemisphere where ice floes can be seen, the waters of the sodium chloride highly saline spring are said to treat an abundant array of ailments, including nerve pain, muscle soreness, joint pain, frozen shoulders, motor paralysis, joint stiffness, bruises, sprains, chronic digestive diseases, and chronic skin diseases. The hotel's bathing facilities are open to non-guests, as well, and the hotel is a convenient place from which to base area sightseeing activities as well as a great destination to drop by while passing through the area. Visitors can also enjoy abundant natural beauty at places like Cape Hinode, the Onishi River, Jinmon Falls, and Inashibetsu Falls.
