    "This conveyor belt sushi restaurant is just across the intersection from the northwest of Goryokaku Park. It faces the moat of Goryokaku and the seasonal atmosphere can be enjoyed with all five senses. The ""sukiya"" tea house style seats are only available at the Goryokaku restaurant. There are private rooms for four to a large hall with 36 seats depending on the use. There are two types of sushi kaiseki course menus, and reservations are required two days in advance. All-you-can-drink for two hours can also be added. There are ""sukiya"" limited lunch menus and the ""Ko"" course is recommended. A variety of conveyor belt sushi with popular ingredients, freshly hand-rolled sushi and creative sushi is available."

    "This seafood restaurant located on the second floor of the Goryokaku Tower is about a seven-minute walk from the Goryoukaku Koen Iriguchi bus stop and about a 15-minute walk from Goryoukaku Koen-mae tram stop and offer fresh seafood from the Hakodate wholesale market. A ""cherry salmon meal"" is served in spring until the end of May. The menu is extensive, offering a wide variety such as a choice of three types of ""Kamameshi set meal"", the ""Live squid plate"", of seasonal squid, and seafood on rice bowls. The specialty is the ""Shunkadon"", which is a rice bowl covered with seven kinds of seafood. ""Shunka Salad"" is also very popular. There is also a monthly small course lunch menu that requires a reservation the day before."

The all-you-can-eat menu can be enjoyed for 60 minutes by at least two people and includes crab, scallops, oysters, etc. The seafood bowl menu with miso soup and side dishes also comes in a smaller size for women. There is also a menu where you can choose your favorite ingredients to top the seafood bowl. Experience live squid fishing from June to November.

    This restaurant is located about a three-minute walk south from the Suginami-cho tram stop. As the name of the store suggests, serves cuisine of the Basque region. There are private rooms other than the main hall, so customers can enjoy a quiet meal. The owner is the first Japanese chef who trained under the chef known as the father of Basque cuisine. The chef continues to create authentic dishes that are true to the Basque region. There is also a course menu that combines fresh Hakodate seafood and homemade ingredients.

Customers can enjoy a meal at the counter as well as Japanese-style rooms. Popular items such as squid and tuna sushi can be enjoyed one piece at a time, and plates of assorted Hokkaido sushi are also available. The restaurant also serves seafood bowls, sashimi, pickles, etc. A specialty of Hakodate, fine squid strips, and selected fresh seafood from Hakodate's coastal waters are also offered.

Visitors can even enjoy the soft serve ice cream in the winter. The shop also offers an original, limited-edition premium espresso flavored soft served ice cream, served in a cup.

    This is a nationally designated historic site located about three kilometers north of Goryokaku and about a one-minute walk from Shiryokaku bus stop. As the name suggests, it looks like a butterfly shape when viewed from above. The site has an area of about 20,000 square meters, and toilets and drinking fountains can be used in all seasons except in the winter. It is said that it was built by soldiers of the former Tokugawa shogunate during the Battle of Hakodate in 1869, to overlook Hakodate city and protect the Toshogu shrine. The designer is not specified, but there is a theory that it was Keisuke Otori, the army magistrate of the time. Other than the monument, cherry blossoms can be seen in spring.
